 fascinating first day,lots in the mix ATM due to conditions with the sub air on and so long as there's no downpours the ball won't be stopping on the greens like y'day..gradually there will be more run so scoring shouldn't be so egregiously low and you should start to get a bit of separation unless smn goes clear should still be a fair few in contention come Sunday see fat Pat had 4 bogeys and still shot -4,pretty impressive set up for a great tournie |

I would hope the sub air isn't used till rnd 1 complete, as would be an unfair advantage to those already finished.

Fowler playing 12 the par 3 .. had 4 shots and still not on the green looks a triple bogey coming up and that -3 soon to disappear .. what a frustrating player he is

Fowler is in golf limbo, it's not that he's lost his game like Spieth he just doesn't have the firepower to keep up with DJ, Bryson, Rahm et al and now all these other youngsters we hadn't heard of a year or so again have come out and just blown by him with ease. Don't know where he goes from here to be honest. If you could buy and sell shares in golfers you couldn't dump him fast enough.

The common factor of the leaders so far is age and experience. Whether this will last remains to be seen. My only bet so far is Justin Rose top 5 at 13 and his 3 under after 9 holes (after a bogey at the first) is promising. Having to play 27 holes today won't help.
