I backed DJ at 14s for the Masters last week (think he's still about 12s) - if he carries on like this can see him starting about 9/2

Through this down turn in play Rory has remained the fave for Augusta by a considerable distance. I don't understand this at all.

Under the old system we'd have a good stand alone tournament tomorrow. Neither X nor Scottie with the win would take the Fedex from DJ with a high finish which is the correct result. We'd have the extra excitement of JT potentially chasing him down for the Fedex which based on the whole season would not be a travesty. Really not sure about this handicap system.

Not looked at the Masters market much yet but yeah, Rory is a weak favourite surely. I guess maybe people are over betting the nappy factor? The form still isn't there and quite possibly there is only the US Open between now and Augusta to significantly change the form book as most guys (and Rory especially with a new baby at home) are going to have pretty quiet schedules after the Fedex is done.

DJ at double figures for next 2 majors I'll be interested.

I think some people are making more of the format being "unfair" than it really is. It's the finale of a season-long competition, it simply isn't a 72 hole stroke-play event, even if we can bet on it as such. Matchplay and Stableford can throw up anomalies but no-one really complains about that: it's just a different format. Xander was asked about it last night, if he would be upset to shoot low 72 and not win something and he said no, the players all know and understand that isn't the format. Would be more exciting if it was 72 holes but the way he's played the playoffs DJ fully deserves the position he's in now to win the Fedex.

DJ was v impressive y'day esp his putting which can be his bete noire

when his driving was awry wasn't too problematical

the others need him to drive as he did in the 2nd round with a cold putter..it's their only chance

and they'd still need mid 60s realistically

we all know he hasn't always got it done but i detect a more confident,steely DJ

Would think the punters who have been keeping schaufelle price lower than his results justify will be proper peeved with how things are working out lol
