First thing to note on this one is it's being played at TPC Booston which for the past 15 years + has hosted the Deutsche Bank Championship (dell-technologies-championship)
By:
but shouldn't necessarily put you off Reed as he has been top 10 3 times out of the 6 he's played here
By:
Pains me to say this as i'm always someone looking for the bigger priced runners but i dont think you can stray too far off the top of the market.
example, this is a full list of the players playing this week who have placed in the top 5 in the last 5 years on this course... Adam Scott Bryson DeChambeau Hideki Matsuyama Jon Rahm Jordan Spieth Justin Rose Justin Thomas Marc Leishman Patrick Reed Paul Casey Rickie Fowler Rory McIlroy Tony Finau Billy Horschel Cameron Smith Charley Hoffman Matt Jones Russell Henley NOT MANY UNKNOWN IN THAT LIST!!!! |
By:
Yeah, Reed 4th, 5th and 6th in the last 4 years in Dell Technologies at TPC Boston
By:
Brooks Koepka 42s £20
One and only selection. |

My team for this...
Simpson - 36 Finau - 38 Berger - 42 Hatton - 65 Ancer - 80 Si Woo kim - 100 (so impressive last week, won it bar the stupidity of youth) 500/1 + punts... Cameron Davis - 500 - ruined chances 1st round but played 3 real good rounds last week, Jim Herman - 600 - be rude not too! Denny McCarthy - 500 - good last week and slight accuracy issues won't matter here. Ryan Amour - 700 - another bad 1st round last week, great golf after. Bryce Garnett - 900 - just has right sorta game for course imo. |
By:
Gonna stick with Reed again, for the 3rd week running. Needs to start holing putts though. Berger, BdeC, Hatton. Good luck all
By:
Gonna wait for the w/e but DJ looks bigger than I expected at 25s
By:
JT wins more than anybody, has won before at TPC Boston, been in great nick since the restart and still 16.5. The market just doesn't rate him that highly for reasons I'm not sure of.
By:
@therhino - i have the utmost respect of your opinion , I'd imagine your the longest standing golf forumite around, what price do you think JT should be?
when I first looked considering the field is as strong as it can be I thought fav should be 18, maybe Co faves the 4 the top ones. Genuinely interested as you often play the top end of the market, I don't, but was a bit shocked you expected him shorter. |
By:
Since the start of 2017 which is a large enough sample size, he's won over 13% of his starts which I don't think punters seem to appreciate. He essentially has to come in off a win to go off fave in one of these bigger events - Rory is regularly shorter, Rahm is often shorter and this week Bryson considerably shorter. Rory and Bryson have won on this course so can understand their appeal but so has JT and at the time of posting (he's since come in a bit) that didn't seem to be being factored in.
Simply saying, the lad has to come in off a win seemingly to go off at his true price. If he maintains the same habits and punters do as well, backing JT blind every week when he hasn't won the week before, is a path to easy profit. Another example of biases in punting which we can take advantage of, similarly to Tommy being well short of proven winners when in contention like we've discussed recently on here. For whatever reason JT just isn't a darling of the market which is a good thing if you'd rather work off data than things like Tommy's hair or Rickie's face. That's my thoughts anyway. |
By:
Anyway my team this week - JT, Day, DJ, Webb, Tommy (
) and Leishman who is the guy at big odds I see absolutely good enough to win. |
By:
Howdy rhino..my team ..JT Fat Pat Wolffman and Si Woo KIm...surprised at your Tommy bet(price way shorter than it should be)
By:
Morning mate. Just a suspicion the course may suit Tommy, back to lay approach on that one.
By:
Moved some bits and piece before the off to add Morikawa, no reason he can't bag another trophy this week.
By:
Oh, Jordan.
By:
seems clear already the back 9s the tougher, meaning dusty's off to a right flyer imo
By:
and tougher by a considerable margin judging by these early scores
By:
Yeah, there's a fair advantage starting on 1, at least that way you can build up momentum going to the hard holes.
By:
if things carry on the same way +1/+2 will be an acceptable/manageable back 9!
By:
Last 3 holes on the back you can score on. 11-15 is the hang on for dear life section so DJ going -2 will be streets ahead of the field through that part of the course.
By:
wish i'd set myself up to trade this, i'd imagine theres some lovely green books already for the wisest betfairians!!
By:
1st round Todd kicking a$$, it's becoming standard but i've still never wsed it to steal a green!!
By:
DJ -3 and hitting the scoring stretch from 18-4 sitting nicely.
By:
Brendon too.
By:
DJ eagle. In position to run away a bit here...
By:
with this being quite blatant may try to steal a bit with the late starters
back - rahm/schafelle/decham lay - scott/finau/fleetwood straight back in not over greedy 5-10 points, easy pickings?!?!? |
By:
unless dusty doesn't slow down and just move on to next week

By:
Dreadfully played hole by Todd on 18, why's he even laying up from 233 out? Know he's not a bomber but everyone's got that in the bag surely.
By:
Such a great finishing hole on this course. Collin and JT showing what can happen on a Sunday, JT eagle and Collin bogey.
By:
Bit of a lost opportunity for DJ.
By:
Yeah, weird round for DJ
By:
English making a mockery of the hard holes.
By:
Impressive fightback from Jordan. English is a strange one, posting great results but very few times he's got right in there come the back 9 on Sunday.
By:
Can't birdie them al unless you birdie the first 6.
By:
sorry Munoz backers but I can't be having this - he is looking ominous
By:
Hope you're proud of yourself. Do well to finish under par now.
By:
lol still, 7 in a row is pretty amazing
By:
I would prefer you not to say anything about a certain long-haired Englishman.
