Yeah, I get the feeling he was maybe here to fulfil the new event rule but this is a big shot in the arm for him going into the two other Opens.

Few better sights in the game than Rory in full flow. Koepka gets the plaudits for the majors but this will be Rory's 10th top 10 in 12 events this season with two wins. That's incredible consistency.

You're right, when he is in full flow it is great- It's hard watching when he hits a great drive, good approach and then hits a shocking 5 ft putt for the miss - this is much better to see!

Presumably this will get Rory past Rose in the OWGR, and rightly so, for me on A-games its Rory, Brooks and DJ then the rest. And strong argument on all-round results this year Rory's still the best of the three.
