nobody has started a thread so thought i'd pitch in. respect the favourites here but they'll be very much an eye on pebble beach for them. therefore could well be value outside the "big four". I must admit though out of the favourites my top choice would either be Koepka, who's wedge game is ideal for this, and seems to be driving it fairly accurately, and Justin Thomas, who's out of the favourites, is the only one who's current starting price is actually bigger than his strike rate.
I'll take two against the field, lowry and lucas bjerrgard (or however you spell it.)

Must admit I thought he might tank and head down the road rather than plug away over the weekend but showing a bit of pride. Seems to be playing easy so should still see some low ones in the afternoon.
Not much interest this week then!
Shaping up nicely too.
Wind be nice over weekend though!

Yeah, course not putting up much of a fight today, hopefully toughen up a bit on the weekend, don't want to see a classic course like this completely taken apart.
I'll be like one of those players that scores against their old team if Kuch wins
I'm a big fan of Canada and Canadians and it would be such a pity if their national champion was Matt F-cking Kuchar.
Only a pity for the Canadiens.
I wouldn't cheer but boy the balance would look good.
We all know what a **** bag he is though.Good posi he is in,fair gap to the top top players.
Decent round required from Kuch n Webb please.

Set up for a great day tomorrow. Taylor and Brown my only reds of contenders and Hadwin the best of the field for me. How you looking TB?
That was a bonus - Brown managed a db on the easiest hole
Got nothing really going this week Hank, took a bit of last night off. Have been taking on Simpson and Lowry so that didn't really go well. Tonight could still be interesting though.
Should be an interesting evening
. Will Rory perform ? Kuchar surely can't be trusted to finish it off. Simpson who knows

Nervy 350 down the middle to start for Rory.
unreal isn't it really
Has a tendency to do so on the par 5s so let's see how he plays the next.

Not sure Rory facing much resistance here....
you can't seriously fancy anybody behind him
Very strong so far but you just never know with Rory. Start of a national Open sweep?
Normally I'd root for someone to keep it interesting but given Kuch is the chaser happy for Rory just to disappear out of sight.
I've had a bet on Rory. Most worried about Sneds.
Different calibre of golfer to the plodders unfortunately..
Different class.
Different class.
Most guys up top already qualified so level to the house likely to get GMAC to Portrush.
Those opposite field events don't have the full set of perks.
Love to drive the ball like Rory for one day...majestic.

same here
oh ok, knew it wasn't full set, but thought that got him in. Still, should be ok as you said earlier with the guys already in
Yeah, I get the feeling he was maybe here to fulfil the new event rule but this is a big shot in the arm for him going into the two other Opens.
Few better sights in the game than Rory in full flow. Koepka gets the plaudits for the majors but this will be Rory's 10th top 10 in 12 events this season with two wins. That's incredible consistency.
You're right, when he is in full flow it is great- It's hard watching when he hits a great drive, good approach and then hits a shocking 5 ft putt for the miss - this is much better to see!
I do hope the Canadians get their winner soon - fantastic support and who could begrudge the Canadians. Getting closer jedi 1.5 pts behind fav right now
Presumably this will get Rory past Rose in the OWGR, and rightly so, for me on A-games its Rory, Brooks and DJ then the rest. And strong argument on all-round results this year Rory's still the best of the three.
Think hell go fav maybe close with Brooks.
Lapped both Brooks and DJ.
Still shorter.

Like Adam at decent price next week.
But big 3 to beat.
Hopefully Tiger shows up.

Throw a blanket over those three now for sure. Next week could be spectacular.
Squeaky bum time for Gmac. Think a bogey could still do it as he'd take the Top 10 mark with him, for now anyway.
how many tons of **** would that grin eat fffffffffffffffff ell
was on lowry and sneds but jeezus never in it,hope you made a packet
Took a bundle out of Webb and Kuch fortunately..
Plumped on Rory pre last 18.
3.05.
Or would be heaving alongside you.
Been over since the 5th.

Shame. 59 and he might have gone into next week with a bit of confidence.
