And so to the end of the event.
A busy last day with many twists and turns has culminated in the following results: Section G: Top Asian player. Well, since the early stages this was a juatified 1.16 so for nearly everyone it's 3 points in the bag, the single 1 point for BH An as well Section H: Top British/Irish player. Well done to Jordan L Smith, who I did manage to include in this list and who unsurprisingly, no-one scored 4 points for choosing. The ever reliable Paul Casey was 2nd in this group for 2 points and Ian Poulter and Rory McIlroy tied for 3rd and each scores 0.5. Section I: Top European. If Francesco Molinari had had 2 decent rounds to add to his 2 excellent ones, he could have won the whole thing. He still did OK and far better than his European buddies, so scores 4 points, Henrik Stenson gains many of you 2 points and early leader Thorbjorn Olesen earns 1 point. Section J: Top American. Justin Thomas, champion after a slightly shaky start is the 5 pointer, followed by, in 2nd, Patrick Reed for 3 points, next was popular pick Rickie Fowler (2 points) and 4th Kevin Kisner who was leading and looking like being 2nd until a last hole splosh put him 4th of the Americans for 1 point Justin Thomas won by 2 shots - Section K, 2 points with a final score of..... Section K: 276, which is worth 5 points , 3 points for 277 or 275, 2 points for 278 or 274 and 1 point for 279 or 273..... All of which means.... Congratulations to (subject to stewards's) Zeusman10, finally winning a competition, well done sir £60 in sportsbook bets will be coming your way Hank Hill, pipped at the post by 1/2 a point after being long time leader £30 in bets for you for being 2nd Owmybrainhurtz, another 1/2 a point behind for a £10 bet prize in 3rd. Thank you all for taking part I hope it added to your enjoyment of the event. Thanks also to Betfair for the prize. The next competition should be the US open tennis in a couple of weeks. Below is the full scoreboard for you all to cogitate. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
