this type of course is pointless for modern pros. there should be rough everywhere except a narrow strip from tee to green.

has a Japanese golfer won any major? No. Only Asian player who has won a major I believe is Yang. Hideki would be the first and he's currently gone right to the top of the list of the best players yet to win a major. Clearly working his butt off if reports are to be believed. Obviously much more pressure in majors and he has a huge following in japan which adds to the pressure but clearly playing very well indeed. |

has been impressive of late
but to win a major has to cut out the wayward shots and sink the putts in the final round |
|
By:
all these wins will help with the latter
good luck to him ! |

i seem to remember aoki going head to head with jack in one
major, prob us open , but jack saw him off it would be huge for a japanese to win a major and therefore the pressure mounts |

Rate reply: | report block user Yes agreed and if he doesn't win one each way is a good call as he is bound to be up there in at least one Also like the fact he has a female caddy on his bag- was reading the Nick Faldo autobiography and the first season he employed Fanny they won two majors together. Having a female presence on the bag will help to calm any nerves |

surely fowler bags a major in 2018. too good a player not to make that breakthrough soon.

Rickie starting 7 shots back in an end of season muck about is a very different player to Rickie contending on the final day of a major, though.
