Bubba running away with this one +£51 no dangers in site a good weekend as long as Robertson doesn't screw up,that would be a disaster.

I must be gone soft in the head. Laid Bubba for too much before he started this round, hoping to have at least one opportunity to back Bubba back at some stage. I have no chance now. Lucky my earlier punting has well taken care of my loss here. Won a few quid on Sun City and the horses. But this has not been good viewing for me.

Is there an argument Bubba should be favourite for the masters, given his record there?
Also it will be interesting to see if Bubba wins a major away from Augusta. He's certainly capable of it.

I don't think I've ever won on a Bubba victory, and I certainly won't tonight.

I think Bubba is one of those golfers who can play lousy for a few weeks but then just pops up and wins
punters tend to prefer those golfers who play consistently week in week out- like Stenson (ok also Speith but he's now always very short) but while Bubba wins quite regularly, Stenson only seems to win once in a blue moon Punters don't like Bubba's because he burns them more often than not

This was a course that set up well for Bubba 5 par 5s and a couple of driveable par 4s are always going to play in to his hands.
Think you are being a bit harsh on Bubba lewisham 2 wins 3 seconds 3 thirds 11 top tens this year in 22 starts and only missed 2 cuts the US Open and Open. Bubba definitely has the skills to win more majors. His short game is excellent and his distance and accuracy will always give him a chance. Not sure the Open's suit him. Don't think he has the patience for a US Open. I know he feels that when it is wet he struggles more than most as he feels the water between club and ball affects him more due to the amount of shape and spin he puts on the ball.

I'm a big fan of Bubba mighty actually. I was just trying to make the point he's not as consistent as other golfers- as you point out a lot of his results depend on his mood and emotions. As you also point out he does have some consistency as well but in any case I'd rather have someone who pops up occasionally with a win than consistently grinds out top tens week in week out without winning.
Players like Stenson must have given punters nightmares over the years with the ability to flatter to deceive, something you could never accuse Bubba of doing.

2016
.......2016 ...........2016 BUBBA 16/1 to defends his title this week - the two-time Masters champion, has 10 victories worldwide, and his PGA Tour earnings alone top $35 million.[/b] It's more than he imagined when he first reached the PGA Tour in 2006. But at 38, with two children, he's approaching a stage in is life when he's starting to think. He has lived in Orlando, Florida, and Scottsdale, Arizona, and North Carolina. He still keeps a home at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. But his future is near his birthplace of Bagdad in the Florida Panhandle, and he wanted to be sure to live in Pensacola to possibly run for mayor someday. "I've had a dream," Watson said. "I moved back in the city limits of Pensacola [Florida] so one day I can run for mayor." The two-time Masters champion already is building quite the local enterprise at home. Last year he became a part-owner of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, a Double A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. This year, he opened a candy shop in Pensacola called "Bubba's Sweet Spot," serving up premium candy and ice cream. And he didn't stop there. His latest venture is a car dealership, Sandy and Bubba's Milton Chevrolet (he thinks the new electric car is going to be big), along with a robotics company in Pensacola that makes everything from military equipment to toys. He has invested in a few golf courses, and he is involved in an apartment complex being built in Pensacola. "It's funny, I say to my friends, I say to my wife, to my manager, to my team that if you say 'Bubba Watson the golfer,' then you're limiting who I am, who I want to be and who I think I am," Watson said at the HSBC Champions. "These other businesses are fun. Golf is fun. The golf is great. But there are other things I want to do. I have other dreams. Golf made it possible”. World No.2 Dustin Johnson and No.4 Jordan Speith lead the elite 18-man field which includes eight of the top 12 golfers in the official rankings. There are three reigning major winners, the Olympic gold medallist and two exemption players. Hero Motors is in it's second of at least a three year deal with the Albany development in the Bahamas, in which Woods has a stake along with Joe Lewis, owner of the English Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur and chief of the Tavistock Group. Tavistock developed Isleworth Golf & Country Club, Woods' former home club and 2014 host to this tournament, and the surrounding community to which Woods moved in 1996. Dustin Johnson 5 Jordan Speith 13/2 Hideki Matsuyama 8 Henrik Stenson 11 Brooks Koepka 12 Patrick Reed 12 Bubba Watson 16 Rickie Fowler 16 Justin Rose 18 Matt Kuchar 22 Russell Knox 25 Emiliano Grillo 28 Louis Oosthuizen 28 Brandt Snedeker 33 Jimmy Walker 33 J B Holmes 40 Zach Johnson 40 Tiger Woods 40 12 of the above played in 2015... 1st Bubba Watson -25 2nd Patrick Reed -22 3rd Rickie Fowler -21 4th Jordan Spieth -20 7th Brooks Koepka -18 T8 J.B. It's a brave (or foolish) man that will put money on Knox, Matsuyama, Fowler or Walker this week, after their exploits in Australia.

Jet lag may be an issue although the event in Australia was finished by midnight eastern time on Sunday morning so effectively they gain more than a day than if they were going the other way.
Not sure you have to be that brave with Matsuyama his last five starts are W W 2 W 5
