Worst one for a few years this. That's a compliment to bubba in fairness.

Considering the amazingly high level he played at Ian Botham often sounds like he hasn't got the first clue about what he is watching.

Shot Bubba.

MAJ and Victor Dubuisson in the four balls.

I think Vaughan's even worse than Botham - but that's because Botham secretly knows he hasn't got a clue while Vaughan seems to think he has.

Strange course management says Monty - probably why Bubba's won two more than he did

marychain - i think you understand my point. my point is there are plenty of duff commentators that were expert in their sport, but are rubbish at commentating (eg botham - you can forgive that as they were icons of the sport). I object to people that were nobodies at sport and still rubbish at talking about it

Good call on Vaughan. I follow Vaughan on twitter and he never fails to surprise me with the sheer range of subjects he can know nothing about. Strauss a surprisingly good addition to the cricket team.

Monty's got no idea how to play in the crunch, and he advises Westwood, which explains a lot.

in fact willie carson is probably one of the worst broadcasters ever, but he was a flippin top jockey so to a certain extent you have to suck it up

..."McIlroy top 10 finish!"...

Which begs the question - has anyone ever won a tournament having played with a marker in the third round ?

Neil Reynolds if you're looking for someone who wasn't an icon in their sport.

Did he actually lose to the marker, or was that something someone just posted on here because it would be hilarious if true?

Nothing wrong with that, no one is making birdies. Just needs to avoid disaster now

He lost Lori marker shot 70 to Rory's 71

However the guy in question has seemingly played 12 times as a marker and won more than he lost. Beat Garcia few years ago and Sergio refused to shake his hand Laugh
