Any runners still in contention Tob ?

All good green bar very red Bubba. Can trade out for most of it but my instinct tells me to stand it. I could have moved at 5.3 and decided not to.
|
|
By:
@ Heinz...If you are in the mood you could lay Kuch now and back him back in the morning for better. Take a small profit then and/or keep him onside. I laid him just to get me level on him at 5.9 and have put in a back price of 6.2.

So, in my search for the winner this year, I am going to look for the players who have a good game from 100 yards out. Wedges, chipping and putting will be the qualities I will be looking at. Phil is a master at this art so must be considered. Bowdich gave an exhibition 2 weeks ago in winning for the 1st time on tour and must be respected. Rory is probably my idea of the winner if he can keep playing to his present level, he could turn this into a rout. 12.00 on Betfair looks a solid offer.
All good here then Tob ? As green as green can be , for an Orange Man, my friend ! ![]() |

Bubba's driving is insane, could easily pick up 4 shots at the par 5's, fancy him strongly to get another eagle.
|
|
By:
@Heinz... isnt it good to see Bowditch making the cut. We did not see any of his game this week but it looks like he will be around for a while. I am stuck with a nice green on Rory but have written it off. The rest is just good trading, as long as Bubba does not get some overnight therapy that will relax him tomorrow. I think the occasion is just too much, judging on round 3.

Stayed up to watch Manny Pacquio win. He has been a cash machine for me since he started boxing. First I ever saw of him was on tv while staying in a hotel in Manila. He is quite the national hero over there for many years.5/4 to win on points may be ok because of the €25 refund if there is a knockout.

Lots in with a chance, but i think it's likely to be Bubba or Kuchar.
better than evens dutching those 2, i would rather back that than lay it. most of the other evens or better guys, its hard to imagine them winning it. |
|
By:
I've got a feeling Kuchar will lead going into the back 9 and will then get wet on one of 11,12 or 13. Then probably **** it in the drink at 15 as well and have a goofy grin on his face
|
|
By:
History says it will be the two final groups, but its so tight it could be very exciting.
I'm green the field, slightly better for two contenders, and big green a player on -1. |
|
By:
I couldn't back Kuchar with stolen money.Bottle job ... Nice greens on Westwood and the Blickster.
|
|
By:
im seething i greened out,had big green on spieth, blixt, fowler and wwood, greened out when blixt hit water on 11

i know he's as soft as putty but
Kuchar will never have a better chance 2 grab a major it's not as if those around him are those u'd want in the trenches with u bubba should've p***d this will be impressed if he can do it after y'day's pretty abject 'performance' as it happens i backed Bubba from the get go but laid him off b4 the 3rd round & laid again in play so i'm green 4 a few bob on everyone IF i don't get involved again 2day & screw things up which i've got plenty of previous 4 so,as a neutral would like Rickie 2 win it he's a cool guy but have my doubts he CAN do it at the end of the day smn's going 2 fall over the line now Senden & Bjorn have dropped off the pave a bit one or either could go low & post a score have a feeling the winning score won't be 2 unadjacent 2 what it is now |

two players
senden + £190 jiminez + £2.5k blix + £30 fowler + £30 field - £100 will be awesome viewing back 9 ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
added blix,fowler
|
|
By:
I was going drink 1/2 a glass of whiskey every time Blixt gets a birdie tonight but he might get 7 and i will be too drunk to see him win. So i will be going for the safer option of 1/2 a glass every time he hits a fairway and see him win sober.
|
|
By:
watson, kuchar, jiminez, fowler and a couple of others all bottlers, backed jiminez for a few quid but always falls away, there will be carnage on the back 9 thats for sure !
|

Spieth = £730
Scott = -£115 McIlroy = -£110 The Rest = £15 Lost £60 on Mickelson, Zach J, Every and McDowell Prob shift more green onto Watson and Blixt........... |

Adam Scott No chance (NC)
Bubba Watson Brilliant chance but equally brilliant at throwing it away. Rory McIlroy NC Louis Oosthuizen NC Brandt Snedeker NC Jamie Donaldson NC Matt Kuchar Brilliant chance to win this and not leading. Could pounce at the right and last moment like Matt Jones did. Jordan Spieth Brilliant chance to be the first debutant since 1979 and youngest winner, the pressure may become unbearable. Henrik Stenson NC Lee Westwood Outside chance (out of respect) but i know he has NC Jason Day NC Jonas Blixt Brilliant chance if he improves his fairways hit, currently 54% is low. Debutant. Miguel Angel Jimenez Good chance, playing solidly with 93% fairways hit. Could be the oldest winner. Justin Rose NC Jim Furyk Outside chance. Thorbjorn Olesen NC Russell Henley NC Stewart Cink NC Steven Bowditch NC Billy Horschel NC Kevin Stadler NC Gary Woodland NC John Senden NC Could green up for £538....but i am not going to. Field £100. Fowler and Bjorn, do yourselves a favour and bugger off. |

Yesterday 2 of the early starters Fowler and Jiminez managed to get within 2 shots. With a winning Score being anything from -4 to -8 it would be fair to assume that someone currently +1 or +2 even +3 may "Do a Woodland" and get close to the lead as the leaders struggle on the tough front nine.
But Who? +1 Streelman 560 +1 Scott 95 +2 Day 220 +2 Kirk 840 +2 Stricker 790 +2 Fdez-Castano 950 +2 Henley 750 +2 Walker 450 +3 Mcilroy 340 +3 Langer 1000 +3 Donaldson 1000 +3 Oosterhuizen 1000 +3 Stenson 740 Current prices. Bold My Back to Lays. |

By:
"Do a Woodland" could do it again......then i'll lay off my greens.

"Justin Rose no chance" Really? ! |

How many leaders have shot -3 this year in normal PGA Tour events this year on courses a lot easier with a lot less pressure.
Most leaders have in fact shot Over Par in their final round. |

Ok. How often is the leading Score on Round 3 increased by 3 or more after the final round ?
|
|
By:
I just think -6 will easily be good enough to win this with the likelyhood of -5/-4 being playoff territory. Just my opinion. In which case it gives a lot of players a chance even Woodland !

By:
From 2003 (can't be arsed to go back to the 1st Master, 10 years data is sufficient), 1 or more got -3 or more....2008 no one got under par except Jimenez but he was too far behind.
|
|
By:
difference between 3rd round leader (to par) and winning score over the last decade: (2013) -2, -1, -2, -4, -1, +3, -1, -3, -1, -3, -2 (2003).
However, a -5 leading score after 3 rounds is much worse than average (3rd round leading scores in past years: -7, -9, -12, -12, -11, -11, +2, -4), and there's some wind forecast for today. I reckon -5 - -6 is a fair spread for winning score |
