Matt Jones was a late non-starter so backing Overton now at 200s with the refund. At -2 at going out early seems a worthy price, early starters definitely had the better of it yesterday.

Chris Kirk always seems to score well on courses with loads of short par 5's. Only 30s but should give a good run for my coinage anyway.

@deplasterer..... I agree that Mahon is a lay at his current price. Also am wondering how such very good golfers are struggling. All along we speak about Rory. I think Faldo has McIlroy well sized up. Now, what about Luke Donald. Missing the cut here it looks like. And such a great ball striker. This golf lark must be a bookies goldmine. Unknown what they won on Woods and Westwood last week.

Granted I watched Mickleson having a lot of supporters here on Betfair pro British Open. Not sure who went best price but I would guess the early price on here was near to the mark.

Tobe, Mickleson was best backed on here pre tourney, why anyone backs with high st is beyond me, ew terms probably, but ties feck that up more often than not.
Luke will be back, changed swing, affecting at present, to good a player no to. |

Mickelson was 40/1 with Joe for a lot of the winter . Tightened down when he started to play well in the spring . Biggest I saw him on here over 6 months was 42 to a few quid . Generally fluctuated between mid twenties and mid thirties until he won the Scottish . Then he went into low twenties , and someone piled into him in the last few days , forcing price into 17.5 at the off .
Luke looks like he is sleepwalking at the moment . |

33/1 for someone 8 behind seems a poor price to me, deplasterer. Even though he is one of my good winners. Merrick is too short after a 62, unlikely to follow up with another low round. Might have a bit on Chris Kirk.

A decent day on the horse to rectify some unfortunate event during the week. Time now to get stuck in here. Have laid Mahan at 2.30 to €400. Not because I do not think he is a decent golfer. Just the fact that he is only half way towards justifying such support. And then Bubba Watson. What can we say about him. An entertainer with a massive length to his game but highly unpredictable. Needs 4 decent rounds and I am betting he will not do that so laid him €200 @ 7.2.

Maybe the evens guy fancies a 54 hole tourney, seems a bit early for that though. Meant to be resuming just now, although the radar looks like the worst is still to hit them.

Nope, the radar doesn't look great so might be another delay but they could finish this with a full day tomorrow even as it stands.
