One issue i had today. Yesterday men winner market had no delay in betting but the women did today............why?????

Because the winner market IS the final when the final is in play. Winner market not in play at any point until the final. Will 100% be the same tomorrow.

Winner market not in play at any point until the final.

It was in the semi-final....

it was the womens final today ? so thats why delay in the betting on outright market surely

Let's try again... Semi final and everything beforehand, winner market has no delay. Once the final starts though, as there is only two runners and the winner is decided by the outcome of that match, the winner market is turned in-play and basically becomes a second match odds market. If the winner market had no delay in the final the match odds market would be redundant, which it could be anyway really.

True rhino.....winner market and match market seems very daft.

but people might have existing liabilities on the outright market due to trading during the tournie so there needs to be 2 separate markets to cover this

Would all be settled though meng aside from any positions taken on the finalists which are still relevant to in play moves in the final. Doesn't matter as it doesn't adversely effect anyone just a little oddity having two markets running that are identical.

true, i know it sounds strange and probably just in my mind but in the outright market you got guys who would have the finalists at massive odds,so psychologically i would feel at a disadvantage trading in that market at the final odds against people who probably already have massive greens on eachside built up throughout the tournament, so feel on a more level playing field betting on a new market for it.

sounds crazy i know but i like having the 2 markets up as they have been built up in different ways.

In some tourny, like football, have match and winner market because football has a draw element in it meng....tennis don't.

In tennis if the first set is not completed all bets are void , the outright market bets will stand so you need both markets.

The problem with horses is getting on at the prices you want.  7.30 Nottingham, starting backing My Time @ 11.5 this morning.  Took 4 hours to get matched and there's only £23k matched in total and you have to halve that.  7pts @ 11.5, lay 8pts in running @ 9.
9 pts profit for the win, 1 pt for the loss.  It works because I lay 87 per cent of them in running, but I struggle to find one a day.

Not sure that I've ever seen GMac in that much of a strop....

doorman, you seem to have a worrying problem with the media.

The fella's one of the very best golfers on the planet. He played a terrific round of golf today, and very much deserves the praise.

he is by far the most likely winner, its not like he has had a round where he has shot the lights out, just nice and steady, same again tomorrow and it will be his to lose.
