Agree hibby.....has he learned?
Is this the course to go double free? Unfortunately i dont think so.....but its golf and you never know |

If Fowler/Day shoot 67 they will be at the very least in a play off IMO, Rose and Donald started to blow up at the end of round 3
how anyone can part with their hard earned on them going into the pressure cooker of the final round of a US open is beyond me. Be shocked if either of them shot +1 let alone under par. |

Earlier in the year there was some ridiculous stat that he has gone something like 19 PGA tour starts where had a minimum of 1 DB in the tourney. He hadn't had one when chasing Tiger then proceeded to dunk 2 in the drink at a par 5!
I like him and Day though pretty fearless and I'd rather see them win by being aggressive than Donald grind it out and show no emotion. Horschel and Day pairing should be a lot of fun though |

Actually really looking forward to tonight gonna be a long afternoon waiting on it to start

why dont they start early if the weather is dodgy

By:
Karlsson playing on his own and now -2 in 2 holes......looks like easy pins?
By:
Not really ski 1st is a short par 4 and 2 is the par 5 so always likely to be chances there. 5 and 6 will still be brutal and then 14-18 are killers
By:
Honestly they should have a final day cut.........all those +10 or more go home.......it's does seems pointless playing on when they could be with their kiddies.

The likes of phil , hunter, charles, donald, strik and rose are all top players.. The 3 overs and above have no chance.. Day outside chance at best... fowler had no pressure on him in the 3rd round as he was well back.. Today will be different..

It was only a few days ago people were saying we could have record scores here because of softening greens, now after a few tough days the opinion is that nobody can make up 3 or 4 shots, or that -2 could be a winning score.
Anyone left in this competition could shoot 5 or 6 under, As Ski just mentioned, Karlsson has opened with 2 birdies. There are very reachable par fours here, it just needs a golfer with a bit of bravery and a pocket full of luck, and they could come from along way back and put pressure on. I think even those at 5 over have an outside chances. |
By:
Its interesting reading different punters views.. I for one would not be backing anybody above +1
By:
merson no disrespect mate but you and others must love throwing money away backing no hopers.. Best score all week i think is 3 under par so cant see a 5 under coming from anyone..
By:
Think the winner could come from an earlier group posting a score. The closing 4 holes combined with pressure of winning a major will be tough. Fancy Day,Fowler winning this with their feet up watching the carnage, bit like webb simpson last year.
By:
Last 2 winners came from 4 back on final day I think I read and G-Mac was 3 back in 2010 when he won too

Impressed that Horschel somehow managed to shoot 72 yesterday, he looked really tense for a while but with the up and down on 15th and par, par, par finish he really is is in a good position. 20s a great price
By:
I see where you are coming from pattay, but there can be a 4 shot swing between golfers on one hole here.
Reminds me of Els last year in the Open, nobody thought a player would shoot 6 under, let alone Scott losing 4 shots on 4 holes at the end. I golfer could be 4 shots clear on the 17th and lose today, very easily. |
By:
Kyle Stanley -2 after 2 as well.
The more I look at it, the more I like the pairing of Day and Horschel. I posted pre-tournament that Horschel was second only to Woods on form, and he has kept that going. Day always seems to spark in to life on the last day of a major, so expect these two to push each other along, either of these guys could be leading by the time Phil puts out the first hole. Stanley 3 under after 3 now! |
By:
Now Stanley levels after 4!.....

1st bet of the day - Alker @ 4.2 to beat Dusty, thinking that DJ may chuck it in if getting wayward..

Day's finish in the Masters was woefully uninspiring.
Don't really subscribe to the view that Donald and Rose 'blew up' towards the end yesterday - last two holes devilishly difficult and Donald's lie for third shot on 18th was the stuff of nightmares. Last three or four groups for the most part played pretty impressively yesterday, there are some solid players in there so I think it's very hard to see someone coming from off the pace to win. Putting the betting to one side, would love to see Stricker or Donald win as they strike me as a couple of life's good guys, especially rooting for Stricker as Luke will get plenty more chances to win one of these. |
By:
From a non punting point of view I would not be upset to see Stricker of Mickelson win as they both seem like decent guys (stricker especially seems a proper gent)
I'm red on both tho and I'd prefer to win some cash so looking for Mahan, Horseshoe, Day or Fowler to come through. Got nothing against Rose or Donald both just seem very dull though and I'd feel a bit uninspired if either win |

Great sleep last night refreshed & ready to have a go at this US Open, it's **** or bust time. I must be clean carded & take my chances. |
By:
For all that there may be chances out there I don't think any player has got past -4 in their round at any stage and obviously -3 is the best score for 18 holes
By:
The fact that donald had a mare at the end yesterday isn't the real worrying part, it's the appearance of the man as he was going through it, he looked visible shaken by it, and not one to inspire with today heaping even further greater pressure onto him.
By:
Think Rose has more chance than Donald who I believe lacks the neccessary toughness to win a major
By:
feel donald has more chance than rose myself, they will have advantage playing together
By:
Either one of them would do me!
By:
mikleson will be nervous but he has to win, i cant see him have a better chance at this stage of his life
By:
tbf he a decent guy, gone thru the gambling thing and cancer wife issue etc always with a bit of class
By:
Added pressure on that though. Mickelson wants it so badly and looking at the leaderboard he probably realises he might never get a better chance to get the title he craves. That in itself probably puts an added pressure on?

Casinos I think. There was also a reputed issue of a big spat at augusta when he refused to pay on a losing bet
