On the flip side though Hunter, Day and Fowler have improved their positions....How far back could the winner come from?
Complete lottery what with Strick, Luke and Rosie all bang there, and i dont have those or Mickleson covered... |
By:
anyone from +4 up looks in this, with this tough finish anything can happen, phil will be under heavy pressure to finally win us open
By:
i expect rose and donald to fall away.........i honestly believe one of top 4 will win.........im massive £ on phil.............surely, surely he can do it. COME ON PHILLY BABY.

By:
the stricker and charl pairing looks very calm, see rose was getting heckled by crowd, may be more of that today as yanks want phil to win

By:
yes cant wait to see what they do,hole 10 is a real risk/reward,horschel could do anything in the last rd,have to cover him now as he could go low or explode, the 15th tee shot seems to be freaking them out after the nightmare 14th,so much for a 63
By:
Stricker will steady eddy it to the finish line i feel.
By:
Pay day? More likely to be pay out day for me, I'm afraid. How many can win? Realistically, it's down to the top 9, or the plus 3s and better. Question now is do I raid the parachute fund and lay the front two at around 4/5 and hope. Have only Stricker and Donald green of the top 9, so I'm in deep doo doo. Good luck with yours.

Very shrewd of Luke to get paired with Justin for the final round away from all the hype and hullabaloo of the last pair to go round, Phil and Hunter. That would have been the very worst thing for him to be involved in in the final round with the crowd so in favour of Phil. Phil and
Hunter can sort that out between them. Now Luke can concentrate on his golf and he's already had some amazingly good runs so far especially in the 2nd round. Just 2 shots off the lead he stands a great chance of winning - so does Justin for that matter. |

Who would begrudge Big Phil his first US Open victory ?
not me for one. Never did me a favour but would earn the 2nd best payout ever for me on the fixed odds. A top-6 wins a profit and I also have Hunter, Charl, Stricks, Rose, Billy in that order. Would hope to try and have something on Day and Luke in-running if needed, but I'm getting the hang of this trading lark, all helped again (like with Kuchar's win) with Tiger and Rory failing again. Without punting, I see Stricker and Micko as the best players of the tricky holes and they deserve to fight it out, with Phil probably capable of one burst of brilliance to nail it - he cannot play the first few holes worse than he has |
By:
Stricker is the steady eddie but get the feeling Phil right there at death,Hunter will bottle probably, haven't backed them but Rose and Donald could spark off each other and be right there too at the finish.
Schwartzel and Horschel are going to explode or implode the rest are out of imo. |
By:
mabey, the sheer length of time it takes to play the round is challenging, must been 6hrs yesterday ffs
By:
I just have this sneaky feeling Big Phil is due a Double Bogey.............or three !

By:
Will Phil put driver in the bag for round 4....
By:
I don't think it helped Phil's rhythm to be hanging around for every shot yesterday with the jokers in front of him, seemed to me like he was in cruise control and could up his game when necessary. Hopefully he'll get a good lead early so it will be over early rather than a prospective 2a.m finish.
By:
not sure he will add driver, wacko that he has 5 wedges though, shirley 4 would suffice and he could add 2iron or 3iron as his lowest iron has been a 4
By:
im on day at 60, will back 2 more, maybe mahon and rose, but as the op said, its going to be a hot night tonight. gl with yours
By:
Laid Phil's greens last night so any bogey would be a good thing as i will back again.
Traded a bit on Wart so he's my smallish greens of the lot and hoping he simply go away. Greens on Mahan, Strick, Day, Luke, Rose, Horsy are similar so will leave them alone. Fowler my biggest green by far so hoping he gets some early birdies and close the gap. Who will win?...... For the sake of madmax's competition, either Phil or Fowler for me. Do they have to start so late? 7 AM start is fine. Also, why is there a 11 minute gap between each pairs, Jesus wept 6 minutes is enough. |

By:
toberaheena, have sent you an email about the 2.30 at Doncaster.
I've made a decision on the golf. Head going on the block with Big Phil and Charl. |
By:
Final round standings at present:
J Rose +983 Phil +673 A few rags in pod and Dustin to far back Rest of field -263. |
By:
8.20 for the final tee off is cutting it fine, any sort of delay and they'll be back tomorrow.
By:
Anybody ever use this cash out malarkey? Currently being offered £376, £109 profit, quick check and you couldmake more laying, bit of a scam methinks.
By:
wonder if they break the record for longest round ever tonight?
By:
will be much quicker in twos tonight
By:
some interesting prices for +6 and +5.
i am not too sure they are. good chance of +1/2 being the winner. final round pins are usually brutal |
By:
out of it that is.
By:
quality Heinz, hope stricker does it for you
I |
By:
Think it will be done by half 12. Out in 2 balls will be just over 4 hours I'd guess. Could be a playoff tomorrow which I don't like it always feels flat when they have to come back
By:
Want to back Phil but can't bring myself to at the price, considering how tight it is at the top. Decisions decisions

By:
fowler wont be winning.. The winner comes from the +1 to -1.. Its a 7 player shootout
By:
Also could be thunder and rain so dont understand why they dont start earlier..
By:
I think it's top 9 pattayaboy, I think Fowler still has a chance and Day as well at +2, if they can shoot 67/68 and post a clubhouse score of level par or +1 that'll be hard to beat.
By:
Id give my back teeth for Fowler to rip it up
By:
Don't think Ricky has to burn it up to win. If he shoots 67 again it might be good enough but he always seems to chuck in a DB when he's in the hunt
