Also backed Jason Day because he has to win on tour sooner or later - and seems to play better in the bigger events.
Whats with a few peoples love affair with Anders Hansen BTW. I just can't see it myself - nearly 350 events played in Europe and only 3 wins - 50 odd in the US and no wins - granted a number of placed efforts so perhaps people back to lay. But Win surely not. |

i really dont know the date of the resurfacing, i assumed it was since last years event
but thats all i was going on, 2 lines written last october doug, your logic for backing day seems to be the same logic others apply to hansen... |

Q, I have elevated Karlsson to my biggest winner, 240s seems massive to me, he can hit it as long as anybody and putts like a Champion. I am a huge fan, and will back him at such odds anywhere.
I have also moved more into Kuchar as he is so reliable and has great course form. |

Struggled to come to a decision this week.
i was initially looking at the usual bombers who tend to have an adavantage at Doral however from what I've read they've grown the rough up a bit more this yr,also wind is going to apparently be a big factor. In the end I've gone with; Sergio G Mac Badds BVP Woodland Backed all e/w top 6. Woodland is obviously the speculative one & I'm just taking the chance that a return to his home state will reignite him. Good luck all! |

I like my picks alot less now that sundogmonkey has not picked any of them.

Shouldn't let that worry you Cob. I'm yet to catch fire this year! Down on the season so far with only a couple of decent priced e/w's to show for my efforts.
Having said that this could be the week it turns around... Good luck anyway! |

I'm surprised mickelson keeps on drifting. 1st and 2nd in his last two starts... I jumped on at 16.5, but have had a little more at 17.5.

Do any specific golfers actually revel playing in windy conditions?
|
|
By:
So which golfers will do well at Doral and have a price crash in the masters betting?
Kuchar, Mahan, Watney are the obvious ones, but should an outsider do well then their odds will really tumble, for example bubba @ 90s for the masters would come in to 40s or Ogilvy 150 for the masters would be 80s? |
|
By:
Lots of good wind players,3 i like here would be bradley, garcia, watney.Rory will eat this course up in my view, only a poor last round cost him a top 3 finish last year, think we (nearly)all agree he is a better closer now and considering he is such a fast starter 8/1 is a cracking price.Goosen @230 best of the rags.GL all.

Went for Brenden Grace at 400s big price for a guy that has won twice already this season only player in field to do so well so far.....
|
|
By:
Grace's wins were impressive, but they were both at home and against weaker fields than this. Doesn't mean he won't win, but it helps explain his price.

The love In with Schwartzel continues, touched 24's, maybe lots are out for their Cheltenham dough. I'm happy on at 30's
. |

By:
in fairness his win at fancourt he beat the likes of westwood by miles , i agree the field is stronger but i believe a few quid at 400s and hope he has a gd 1st round at least have a chance to have a decent free bet.... youre thinking?

Good morning gents. I just came across from the Cheltenham Forum, and believe me,it is all piece and tranquility in here compared to that !!
* Apparently a horse called Peddler's Cross was all the rage, ante post, for The Arkle, only to be switched 24 hours ago for The Jewson. Disgruntled punters to say the least. I'm glad I packed that mugs game in many moons ago !! * Anywhoo, thoroughly looking forward to tonight's play, and I thank The Mighty Zeus for the peace, love and tranquility of The Golf Forum. Yours,in all humility, Heinz. ![]() |

By:
That's why i never touch ante post in horse racing......too dodgy
|
|
By:
Yep, Donald McCain pulling the wool over punters eyes again, doubt he would have beaten Sprintre Scare anyhoo.
|
|
By:
eric, have followed you in with Karlsson, and had a bit more on Kuchar. Have added some to DJ as well.
What with this and then Cheltenham next week, I think I'll leave worrying about the Masters for a bit. Good luck. |

Had to take some of the 9's on Wee Rory !!

Noren looks a nice price for first round leader. He is 150/1 with William Hill, so you are getting 37.5/1 for a top 5 after round 1 in a field of 74 players, that seems fair enough to me.. Especially since he is teeing off first, so he will get the best of the greens. Noren has been in the US for a while now practicing and I can imagine he is itching to get out there playing in a tournament again since he hasn't played for about 3 or 4 weeks.
Could go either way but I wouldn't be suprised to see him pop in a good round or 2 this week, hopefully in the first round. |

I'm not sure if you mean win again, because he has already won the HP Byron Nelson. |

Decent drift on kaymer overnight, out from 38 to 46. Think he is very backable at those odds.
Likewise think Day at 60 is also a tasty price. Cant wait for this one to begin, looks a cracking field. |

Noren 324 yards down the fairway, boom! he's back..

Boom into bunker on his approach!
