Well, clearly pretty random, but here's my thoughts. Keegan Bradley is one of the most difficult players to beat in the game - just doesn't give up, hits it long and puts great under pressure.
Then there is Tiger. We've got throught the dodgy first round. If you look at his record when he wins his first match, he wins the event about 50% of the time. Now, I know he's not the player he was, but given that he started at 15.5 and is now available at 14.5, I fancy a substantial investment on him. He will trade at single figures. If I had to pick an outsider, I'd take Karlsson. |

Els & Woods performances have to be taken in the context of the poor play of yesterdays opponents,having watched them i fancy them less now than before they won their matches.Watney great value to beat woods today.

I backed 6 pre tourney but lost 2. Left is Westwood, Els, Johnson, Oosterhuisen. Lost Cotzee (fancied him to do Woods) & Ogilvy.
I think Westwood is the pick as this format suits him when he doesn't have to worry so much about leaving a knee knocker back. He puts with greater fluidity and with his driving and GIR he will be a tough cookie this week. I do think Woods at 14.5 is tempting but expecting him to play 4 or 5 solid rounds is hard to forsee. One off day and he is out, although he grinds like nobodies business. Fancy him today though as I don;t think Watney has enough mental resilience v Tiger. And I think Jiminez is value v Bradley today as he will put pressure on Bradleys 2nd shots with his accurate iron game and hiting his approach first on most holes. |

Never mind who wins it. Having lost 5 of my team of 11 in the first round, more worried about whether I should green up and start again or stick.
With a start like yesterday, I'm lucky to be where I am. But definitely suffering from negative vibes. |

Keegan bradley was -8 for 15 holes yesterday,factor in the way he plays(annoyingly slow), and he looks the most likely winner to me.Should take care of jimenez with ease today then has rory,though i fancy anders hansen might take rory today,and if that happens 18.5 will become 8 by close of play tonight!GL all.

Lost three of my eight runners yesterday but still pretty happy.
Fancy Karlsson to do Westwood, and Bubba looks strong. Schwartzel, (should be okay) Laird and Molinari are my other three. |

For me I think Matchplay suits average putters as it encourages positive putting. Hence why the likes of Els/Westy/Jiminez/Casey have good records.
Famous last words but think Westy is NAP material today. Also think Ishy gets KO'd. But its a game of opinions.........and a hell of a lot of luck!!! |

Backed Kaymer & Westwood (and Simpson) Westwood has a surprisingly poor record in this given his Ryder Cup exploits but I thought 24s was was to big and backed him accordingly. Kaymer - hitting osme form, runner up last year and lives part of the year in Scottsdale so clearly knows and likes the track. Thought they both played extremely well yesterday along with Bradley. I just hope Karlsson had his great round yesterday and shoots big today. Vamos Westy! |

When Rory, Tiger and Westwood all lose today my bet on The Rock will be looking good. Expect him to be the jolly this time tomorrow ( ok maybe just joint fav ). At least I can dream.

happy with Hunter Mahan's start,he only shot level par but hopefully that's his bad rnd done,not knocking Keegan Bradley with his seven under but it's hard to replicate low scores the following day and they might not get through when having a bad one.

Was a good day for me bar Schwarz letting me down on an 11/1 accumulator and losing bets on Oosty & Woods. (3 matches I lost on the 18th  )Was surprised how mentally fragile Mr Woods was. That putt at the last was feeble given a great approach. I was counting my money when he stiffed that! Jiminez win proves the adage of players who shoot remarkable scores the day b4 often suffer the next day (Bradley). Westy always winning his and in racing parlance was 'pricking his ears' on the run in. Todays best bets for me are Westy & Kaymer. Still think (hope &pray) Westy or Johnson wins. |

Sorry to see Keegan bow out - but liked the way Miguel was playing. I think he could upset Rory today. I still have hopes with Lawrie and Wilson and have put these 3 mentioned along with Watney in a yankee today.

Traded my stake back on Stricker leaving him nice green and used it to back Wilson. Think he could upset DJ and might not have to do much in order to beat him, such is DJ's unpredictability. Wilson ain't spectacular but he gets the job done. Also had to get Rory on side, should have taken my own advice and backed him at the off, but with Jimenez up next and then Senden or Bae, I think he must be at minimum covered right now while his odds are still above 6s. I went a bit further and made him decent green, can't see anyone but him winning that bracket.

Think he has to be the bet of the round at the 4/5 available around the place. People may be getting carried away with who Bae has beaten and not focusing on how he has done it. If Bae plays the front nine the way he has been the last 2 days I fancy Senden to be as good as home very early on. Senden the number 1 ballstriker on the US tour at this early stage and seems to be putting well. Price seems a bit of a gift to me. |

Got Kaymer, Whatney, Johnson still left and my massive winner........Jiminez! Someone said to take the 280 on here before the Garcia match and I am glad I did. 28-1 now.

Hunter Mahan at 16/1 seems quite good value
He seems to have the easier side of the draw in that he avoids the likes of Westwood/Rory until the final Kaymer aside, those left in his half such as Stricker, Kuchar, Hanson, Snedeker, Wilson are all much of a muchness, and D Johnson seems way too short - he is likely to put in a stinker of a round out of a potential 6 at some point |
