Such a frustrating day yesterday.  One winner, Swiss Spirit (advised 7/2), and we were left cursing our luck as three others came 2nd.  Shirocco Star summed up the day, having the favourite beaten when picking up in the final furlong, he looked to also have the beating of the leader, but he failed to get up to beat the 33/1 shot.  The place money felt scant consolation at the time.  Daneking and Untold Melody were both backed to win, but also found one better in their races.  Spifer will come on for his run, and stays in the notebook.  One to fall out however, will be Garde Cotiere.  Having shown so much promise in 2010 he was sidelined through 2011 with various injuries.  Unfortunately, something went amiss again yesterday evening, and I doubt we'll see his potential fulfilled.
