As has been the way of it recently yesterdays selections again returned little, but could have been so different. Arctic Court made all the running at Newbury, but tired coming up the straight, and was beaten a length into fourth in the end up. Glassan Lad, was also beaten into 4th, this time by a neck, and again we missed out on the place money. Vosges ran a good race, only failing to catch the long time leader who just wouldn't give up. Shukov got 2nd at Dundalk, to return our stake, but was close to beating the odds on winner. Buccaneer Bob waas the most fraustrating runner of the day. With an inexperienced claimer in the saddle, he was held up at the back and seemed to by burning off all his energy in restraint. When asked for an effort, he had little left.
