Been playing with a bit too heavy stakes this arvo ... and thought best to update now. May set up the greyhound bot for some of the TV racing or perhaps not bother .... feel a bit "loose" with my betting so best to not push it .... so close to getting a nice trade profit on the Melbourne footy game earlier but ended up with a loss. Think that miss in turning a profit threw my thought patterns out a bit today .... Well there you go ... just had my biggest win on here for a while .... so I probably will take some sensible advice of Shapeshifter and not push it too hard.
Played last night on some greyhounds and footy .... nice profits. I have a lot of (other) stuff to get on with today so busy working and played a couple of Aussie mkts this morning won a nice amount on one bet then shortly after lost most of that and then layed a heavy greyhound fav (think it was 1.43) for £300 bet .... yep luckily got checked at the 1st corner and never recovered .... nice win and might simply set up bots to play later on ....  |

Well there you go what an exciting day .... just got back in as I have been out most of later arvo/evening. Some very nice wins ... and probably good that I wasn't around later on to mess it all up. Got back and noticed one disappointment - one of my bot horse lays went down ... although probably lucky that I wasn't here to bet some more on it. I do fully realise days like today aren't the norm .. and on some occasions I have been going in too heavy. I will be trying my hardest over the next day or two to say in control and not get carried away. Up late last night so bit tired this morning ... apart from a nice bet late last night before I went to bed haven't bet anything this morning. Looking back at some of the bets from yesterday ... well indeed lots of the larger wins (apart from a nice place bet win) is really down to taking on low odds favs or putting in a lay ir at low odds ... I know I can't "blindly" continue with taking on low odds favs ....

Nothing like say I am going to do something and then turn around and bet a bit too wildly ... actually took on a tipsters Aussie selections and duely lost (I don't normally do it but just discovered the selections and thought why not) .... only to break yesterday's biggest win on a lay of a Aussie horse race ... in total would have been around £1000 down this morning but the bet came in ... fortunately the horse missed the start and I ended up winning.
... and yes I know I can't go on doing this. |

I understand where you are coming from however the problem is when the staking gets higher and higher (which I don't tend to handle too well) and things like the greyhound markets for my bot (seems to be filtering lots of selections out recently) don't have the volume for me to put much more on ... anyway lets see how I get on .... I took this on board and looked at my approach that uses betfair and other sources to hit my targets during the month. I aim to make so much per 'session' here and elsewhere. The math then targets the number of times I have to focus to hit my mark for the month. Right now, I need 17 (today could be two, afternoon and evening, weekends I try to avoid). So when I ponder the 'bigger targets'., like yourself, I know what you are talking about - the mounting numbers. So, my brain looked at taking it in the opposite direction and we'll have to see how it evolves but the basis would be to have a target of 8% in the begining that is REDUCED every 10/12 targets. So by the time you get to around 80 targets/sessions, your target for the next 20 is around a 1% increase. More importantly, a stop loss of 5% that is live (i.e. gain 3%, loose 5% you stop, NOT 5% of the start of the day) will keep one sane. |

Nothing like taking on a heavy fav in the greyhound TV and losing only to go "****" or bust and lay a heavier fav in the US horse racing to make it a very very profitable day .... yep I think it is indicator to stop for the night. Will be spending more time with my wife over the weekend so won't be going playing too heavily over weekend.

Nothing like staying up late at night waiting for the Triathlon races to start (Women's @ 1am) .... played some more on the greyhounds and a couple of recently run USA races .... back in positive territory ... so might be the right time to grab a coffee, set up the bots for racing later today (as I think I will be sleeping in a bit) and after that watch recorded show Revolution before watching the Triathlon on BBC Red Button or BT Sports.
