General Betting

Don't have the energy to use "system" on horse racing ( intend to start in MARCH)......so starting a FOOTBALL "guessing" thread to see if can keep "reasonable" control on STAKING.
Had some LUCK on Correct Score betting a few years ago....making about £20,000 from starting ban £2,000......BUT blew all of it away when INTERNATIONAL matches started ( last World Cup etc ) through some OVER STAKING combined with bad "guessing"!
Only starting with £450 bank and will restrict betting to £2 minimum and £36 maximum on a selected match. Likely the main initial bet will be £6 to start.....with smaller hedging bets if I feel might come in handy as match progresses.
Will review STAKING at end of each week.....if last that long
....
Bets will probably be mainly in OVERS ,HT/FT and Correct Scores markets.

MU getting some of their key players back in their last match.......so for this match they are far more likely to be up for it and I expect them to score at least 1 goal .
ARSENAL have a run of tough matches looming up, but they know they must try to win this game to keep their confidence high......and with center of MU defence looking dodgy, I also expect them to grab at least 1 goal.
So bets are :-

I suspect MU will allow ARSENAL a lot of possession 1st half and try to steal a goal right before HT......or to go for win 2nd half.
If ARSENAL score first 1st half......then game should open up and further goals likely.....thus main bet is on OVER 2.5 goals.
A lot of pressure on both teams for different reasons......but the clash of styles of play are likely to lead to at least a couple goals in game.....and would not be surprised if finishes 1-1.....thus covered 1-1.
With ROONEY and the dutchman back, I favour MU winning this one ....as MU surely will improve their crossing to give them chances to score, which likely they will take in such a match.
Ideal scenario would be MU scoring and leading 1st half....or early goal from ARSENAL....either can happen....and my guess one of them will happen 1st half.

MATCH 2 -Wed 12/02/14 PRL Stoke City 19 : 45 Swansea City
2 stodgy teams but both should feel more confident going into this match after recent results. Probably unlikely either team will go for a win in first half....though set piece success would soon alter that ! May well finish a DRAW....but have favoured away team to win IF THEY DON'T GIVE AWAY TOO MANY SET PIECES.... My guess is that it will be 0-0 at HT.....with SWANSEA opening up to try to score in 2nd half, and with patient build up play they should create some chances which I hope they take. STOKE may well prove me wrong....as having beaten MU at home they should have no fears of losing going into this match.........but i suspect they have had a couple really tough games which might take its toll on them 2nd half.... Your money so you bet however you like ... (and in turn I wish you all the best) .... however from memory that thread where you did do extremely well ... it was a case you simply did one or two bets on laying a team or HT/FT etc based on your expected final score rather than bet like you have done in recent attempts where you have done multiple bets so as to cover different score outcomes.
I think you should go back to stating what you expect the score to be and then place one or two lay bets and not green up or change your mind ip. My thoughts only ... as I do remember that thread but equally what stood out was the change in the way you played in subsequent threads. All the best. |

It was a CORRECT SCORE thread where I made good profits....and most bets were on laying a CS. I have dabbled in other markets.....but my main weakness is on STAKING. Generally I am a fair "guesser" on FOOTBALL matches.......on how they might go.....but if I get guesses WRONG combined with OVER STAKING....then a run ( BLACK SWAN day) will wipe me out! INTERNATIONAL matches also a weakness.......and it was when i took on these types of games and OVER STAKING them...that led to wipe out. Generally was a reasonable "guesser" on CLUB FOOTBALL wherever played.............  SO TRYING TO STICK TO CLUB MATCHES. If i do dabble with INTERNATIONAL games will keep STAKING LOW!Thanks again UD.......Not really noticed ANY change in how you tackle betting yet.......big ups and downs seem to be the way you choose to go, and you definitely are still CHASING when a HIT comes. At least you seem to enjoy what you are doing.....but really still believe you need to change drastically the way you bet and be a bit more selective on bets.....but up to you! Gl |

I just tried to look for the thread where you did extremely well (until World Cup) ... the thing that I remember was that you did the one/two lays rather than do multiple covering bets like you do nowadays ... I think you should simply predict the score-line and then lay a CS or HT/FT (ensuring odds are reasonable and staking is okay) and simply stick to this basic strategy. Less time consuming having to monitor the game and less complex betting-design.
I have said the above enough already ... always worth looking back at that thread and compare what you do now. As for me .... well todays been a nice one so far .. although me and the bot can still stuff it in an instant. I like a mix of betting ... geez I even bet on Women's Curling but yep still have some wild swings but I assure you I am less inclined nowadays (unless I am really in a pickle like the other day)  ..Have a good day. |
