I am laying two events

- One is 1.80
- The other 2.80

- I want to win £60.00 if both successful
- I want equal risk between the two (thus laying at 2.3 average)

When I do the math 'manually', prior to commission, the figures come to:
£42 at 1.80
£18 at 2.80

In one cell, how do I get from £60 collective to 42 and 18 ?

Try ~

In Cell A1 enter 1st race div i.e. 1.8
In cell A2 enter 2nd race div i.e  2.8
In cell a3 enter profit required if both win i.e. 60.00

Copy this formula below and paste it into Cell B1:-
=(A3/(1/(A2-1))*(1/(SUM(A1:A2)-2)))*(A1-1)

Broken down, the formula result in B1 is the liability for each selection to lay at.
This will return a profit of what is in cell A3 (if both lays are successful)

Cheers.

CM, thank you.  Works perfectly.  My variations weren't close.

Seven combinations done in three minutes.

Appreciated.
