how many successful trades using this system will equate to one 0-0 LB?
By:
Well at this rate I'm going to need about 9 winning bets to account for one 0-0...
By:
your laying an (say in theory) 8 to 1. Your going to have alot of winners but the loser (0-0 or whatever) will kill you.
Upping stakes if your thinking its free muny is very bad idea. As exercise in understand how things work its decent enough. |
By:
As an exercise in whiling away a Sunday night, it's decent enough. As a means of making long-term money, it needs work....
By:
the problem with most of these systems is that they are incomprehensibly dull and don't suit the average punter, who doesn't require the patience to carry on doing them through a bad run.
By:
I think the problem with this system, Mythical Prince, is that it's built on statistically dodgy ground... Whether incomprehensibly dull or not, I'm not sure it'll stand up to long-term scrutiny in its current form.
By:
it is dull but if it made me regular profit i'd happily milk it for all it's worth as i have no other working system at current.
with it being 8/9-1 and a 0-0 will kill 9 games worth of profit i dont think it has much legs |
By:
No, I think we need to dig a little further Paulie...
By:
the thing its missing is choosing which matches. doubt even matched teams is going to be a long term winner.
If you can pick the matches correctly, then its as much a winner as anything |
By:
the OP seemed to have it down pat LB.
lets hope he returns with more fruits |
By:
I'm finding that football statistics site quite interesting. I may well have a poke around with the stats on there and see if I can make something of them... Got a couple of other projects to complete first though!

back the front runner inplay and lay it off near the finish at horse racing is a good system.
the front runners come in a lot right at the start of the race as theres a big mad rush to get on them, but if you wait till the middle of the race they tend to come out quite a bit as everything calms down. then lay them off in the home straight when everybody panics and thinks the front runner might stay there. an even more unbeatable system if you happen to have fast pics ![]() |
By:
everything happens so quick IR i find, and that 5 second confirm bet is a killer imho
By:
In a race lasting a couple of minutes, there ought to be a chance to get on a horse early on Paulie. We're talking 5 seconds, not 5 minutes.
By:
hey LB. im £80 up overall since Maunsells Duke would you believe?
![]() |
By:
And you've still got to be to discern whether the horse's price has gone down because he's got into an unexpectedly good position early on, or whether he really will weaken late on.
By:
*be able to discern
By:
Well there you go Paulie. You're a winner....
By:
not enough LB. would like to make a steady £200 a month
By:
I was being slightly sarky Paul..
By:
no way [;)]
By:
£80 up since early on in August isn't actually very good, given some of the risks you've taken.

yeah forget the five furlong races because the front runners just crash in price too much. if anything you should lay them.
they work best on jump races. in fact plenty of times the front runner will come in a lot right at the start of the race, but then drift out at some point inplay. sometimes it will drift out quite a lot. so lets say its sp is 9-1, i'll back it once it gets the lead at 6-1, but i'll put another back up inplay at say 12-1. so effectively i'm getting it's sp price. and then lay if off in the home straight when it comes into 3-1, 2-1. but of course if you have fast pics you can take the 9-1 and lock in an instant profit. the other problem of course is that not every front runner will do anything during the race. so you get bored and although the system might work overtime, you end up backing something else in the race once the front runner gets passed. |
By:
i know it's pathetic isnt it LB. cant see any other way of winning though as weve discussed at length. just hoping for a break
By:
One quick stat for you. Of the 44 matches in last season's Prem League that were 0-0 at half-time, 19 (43.2%) of them produced goals in the second half..
By:
You won't get a break Paul. You'll make breaks for yourself by fine-tuning your judgement and finding ways of working out where there's value. But you're not going to suddenly turn into a winner unless you put in some hard work.
By:
just get fast pics, a gerbil could win with them. hard work is for losers [;)]
By:
"Lay the draw" only works if you're laying a bad value price. End of.
By:
got any good systems damon?
By:
Yes, but they involve hours of being anti-social, getting grief off the missus and being extremely bored. Most of the time anyway.
By:
care to share a bit? im happy to put in 8 hrs a day for £30
By:
Why would you want to put in '8 hrs a day' just to make £30? You're talking about essentially making minimum wage...
By:
You could earn more than that stacking shelves in a supermarket. Or giving gobjobs round the back of your local pub.
By:
cos i just wanna make back that £850 Bobbin. would love to.
By:
nah i have a job Damon. its more a personal target for on here. any help?
By:
8 hours a day for 30 quid, you might as well do data-inputting. come to think of it though I know of at least two people who have done something similar on betfair. one of them has already quit.
By:
The Maunsells obsession will kill you Paul! If that's your only rationale, you should just give it up now and save yourself the grief.
By:
no its cool just a little target for me to work towards.
how you mean mythical? |
By:
You're wasting your life here!!
By:
i like gambling though
