So what has that to do with BF ?
Also is there any specific case of a bank account being accessed if there wasn't some sort of related input card transaction ?

Do you even read the threads you post in?

It sometimes seems as if you're discussing something completely different to the rest of the people in a thread.

Yeah the casino bonus fiasco was shocking. It made Betfair look very bad indeed.

I questionng a specific statement made on this specific thread about BF accessing a person's bank account without specific permission.
Did it happen or not ?
And I am still waiting to receive a specific answer.
All the rest is bs till it is proven to me.
Once again Lori you show that you love to talk in half truths.
A specsality of yours it seems.
Inverstor
Perhaps you could answer my specific question.
You at least do try to get your facts right before you go off accusing BF of misdeeds.

What more specific do you need?

I've not accused betfair of any wrongdoing, it wasn't betfair that ended up in court was it?

One would expect Betfair to have responded to the customer's complaint on Sportsbook Review to stated that they did not claw back the money from his bank account. Sportsbook Review state that Betfair did not respond to them on this subject.

Just don't bother gap. Every serious user of this forum will know about the case we're all talking about. Froggy, as usual, is pretending not to be aware of the bigger picture to see if he can get people to post bannable material so he can get them removed. A little challenge of his.

A few months ago he didn't believe it was possible to win on this site, now suddenly he's a PC payer. He's a winning soccer punter but doesn't know which Asians to bet at. That's the sort of guy we're dealing with here. He'll say anything for a reaction, sadly he never contributes anything of worth along the way.

And I am still waiting to receive a specific answer.

You've been given all the information required to look it up for yourself and form your own opinion - thanks to the very people you're slaggging off.

If you haven't read the thread concerned, then go read it, if you have then perhaps you can enlighten us as to what YOU think happened with the Portugese bank.

Give something back for once in your life - we won't always be here to wipe your backside for you.

Most posters on here don't bother me in the slightest.
So perhaps I can honour you and say that you are probably the sole exception.
The majority of your posts are snide and underhand.
You say things which, when challenged on, you either run off and hide or suggest that the challenger, no less, has some sort of agenda in merely wanting to get the actual facts out in the open.
In this specific case , I ask you once again.
Did, as the poster gap said without any qualifying details about csdit or debit cards, BF debit some punters bank account without specific permission ?
And if so how did it exactly occur ?
Not why it happened, but how ?
I'm solely interested from  the general perspective of how BF could seemingly breach the ultimate golden rule of bank account security. That is no unauthorised access ever. No exceptions ever.
I'm not opining in any form or manner on the underlying dispute between the client and BF.
Get it ? Clear enough tosspot ?

nce again I seriously hope your real liffe personage dose not mirror in any way your posting profile.
Mine does btw.
I deal in clear, concise facts.
Bs and snideness and envy and jealousy and whinging and whining etc etc don't occupy my thoughts/actions in the slightest ever.

And if so how did it exactly occur ?

I take it that after reading all 458 posts in the thread to which two of us have directed you, that you still don't understand this reasonably simple case.

Given that a) The thread explains it better than I can and b) you seem to once again to have resorted to name calling, I don't see any reason why I should further clarify the situation, especially as there would be an element (in your mind at least) of conjecture in my reply.

I suggest you read the stuff to which you've kindly been directed by others on the two sites suggested and form your own opinion for once.

I do get the point that I've just suggested you form your own opinion, when you wanted to know which books the top gamblers read to learn from, something I still chuckle about to this day, but really, you should try and read the information and have a go.

If not, maybe get someone to interpret it for you - perhaps on a forum where doing so might not be so inflammatory in the eyes of the moderators.

Finally, in case it's not abundantly clear, the entity who potentially "did wrong" in the eyes of the law was not Betfair no matter how much you try to put words in my mouth.

Once again evading the simple question.
As you saying that to your knowledge, based on everything you have read on the matter in question, that BF accessed a bank account without any authority.
Because on what I have read I do not see that FACT.

I'm not going to be drawn on the issue because I haven't made a claim either way and nor do I intend to.

I have given you the raw data, I don't see why my opinion matters to you. You're old enough (physically at least) to form your own opinion.

Anybbody give me the facts on this please ?
After all it is a pretty important point to clear up.
I don't know about anybody else out there, but I have substantial amounts of free cash lying periodically in my personal bank account(s).
I would certainly like to know if it is being compromised in any form or manner by my having, what I thought, is a totally separate gambling account with BF.
Or is that sort of concern an irrelevancy to most of you on here ".
To Lori it obviously is, either because he nas no separate material net worth apart fromwhat he has in his BF gambling account, or he has ring fenced his personal bank accounts in some manner unknown to us others, or he knows that it never happened.

I assume that yet again, despite me helping you out with information  you're not going to thank me for my time, so I bid you farewell until you decide there's some other trivial and out of date detail of the site you want to have clarified.

Given my impoverished state and your super-rich inventor status, I really should charge more than £0.00 for all this advice.

Yeah thanks again Lori for clearing up all the facts and loose ends.
A great help as usual. Most appreciated.
It's a great relief to know that you can always be relied on to make sure that we all only deal in facts on here, not half truths, rumour and innuendo.
Maybe you work or should go to work for the dirty digger.
Maybe you even know how to hack bank accounts. Now there's a thought.

Maybe my image of you is slowly changing to that of you with your hair in curlers, **** in mouth, hanging out the washing on the balcony of your flat, or in your back garden, having a nice little gossip with your nearest and dearest neighbour.
" Hello luv, heard the latest one about those nasty snot nosed types at BF ? Of course I don't know if it's true, but what that's got to do with anything ?---- "

I'm not condoning BF's behaviour to PW in any form or manner.
I'm questioning what would appear to be the most alarming misstatement probably ever posted on here.
That is, BF can debit your bank account, not your client account, without any prior permission.
That doesn't worry the hell out of you, if true ?

Shouldn't you ask your bank if they can do that when you have registred a debit or credit card with the company ?

I've already said that when cash inputs have been effected by some sort of card that there could well be a situation where you have thus authorised BF to charge your card as thus your bank account.
I'm talking about if you have only ever credited your account with bank transfers.
Bridgeboy
I've been through it all and do not anything that supports that BF can just go into non card connected bank accounts if and when it wants to.

According to my bank (part of HSBC in the UK), the only way that bf could take money from me, without me requesting it or consenting to it is if they had a "continuous authorisation" in place.  That could be inadvertently authorised by me if it was in a terms and conditions page, which I ticked.
Alternatively, if they stored my 3 digit security number (which they are not allowed to do), they could help themselves at will, although that would be illegal.
The payments dept have told me that they don't have one but to be honest, some of the accounts raised in this thread are still extremely alarming.

FAFH - you certainly can rub people up the wrong way!

For the casino fiasco, there is an allegation of Betfair removing money directly from a user’s bank account as stated here: http://www.casinomeister.com/rogue/betfair.php.  There is also a large thread on their forum detailing exactly what happened in this instance and Betfair’s unfortunate response to it (there is a link to the forum in the link I posted).

Who has said anything about Betfair going into non card connected accounts?  Surely going into a carded account and removing money under the pretence of not following the ‘spirit of the bonus’ is bad enough?
By:

Oh yes they have Viva. Gap said exactly that.
Btw I'm sure there a lot of others out there like me who find your voices just as tediously anti BF.
Just starting telling the facts as they are, and not half ones or only ones that support your anti BF positions and I will be perfectly happy.
