aye...I chose my forum name after winning the fantasy football competition at work....I got the team name as in the morning of the day I submitted my fantasy football team I noticed in the newspaper that Clydebank had 29 paying supporters.

I'm not even Scottish, although I could represent Scotland since my late grandad hails from the Scottish Highlands

I must admit that I've always assumed you were Scottish.
It troubled me a bit as it reminded me of a few physicals I had in the student union debating activities, back in the days of attending university there.

Just found this on the website

Club Enclosure and Restaurants

Please note that there is a dress code in the Club Enclosure and restaurants. Smart jeans (no rips, tears or fraying) are acceptable but shorts, t-shirts, sports attire and trainers are not permitted and we do ask that men wear a collared shirt.

This dress code will be enforced by the Racecourse and access denied to those who do not meet the required standard.

Grandstand and Silver Ring Enclosures

There is no dress code for these enclosures.

so tell me you lot, you actually met each other ? what was the age group ? I envisage a load of +50 year old's, not being rude just saying, I'm half your age's so and I'd feel out of place, but then again my Aston Martin would probably make you's all feel the same way, I'm thinking though of a xmas get together on my private island, would that be of interest? maybe one of you could explain to me the game they call Cricket, what's that all about!

Great evening.
Many thanks to magician for organising it.
And thanks to other peoples tips I actually made a profit
on the Horses.

Cramped_with_A_Nun,
Cricket is a drinking game with a bat, ball and wicket.
Simple rules: Anytime someone hits the ball with the bat or the wicket
with the ball, The everyone in the audience has a drink.
The winner is the team which gets the audience to drink the most

Apologies for not turning up Magician but I was in court all day trying to stop my three year old daughter moving to France permanently. Cry

I hear on the grapevine what a betting legend you are and walked away with a five figure profit for the evening. Perhaps Bayes will learn his lesson next time and follow you in? Laugh

Thanks Magician for another good night out. Any excuse will
do to get away from the misses!

If you are serious about Las Vegas then suggest a few dates
and I will see what I can do. I can't do much about the air fares
but I am sure I can get serious reductions on the room rates,
and even some comped ones for the serious players.

If you want to make it a four or five day trip I would suggest
a Sunday departure from the UK, then we won't miss all the
Saturday horse & football action. Also, the hotels are more
likely to offer discounts for midweek stays.

Let me know.
