No paulme, you''re in the very large majority.
It just doesn't seem like it on this particular forum. |
By:
its does feel like im in the minority today.
are you on it? |
By:
Bayes, I do almost exclusively pre-play, except test matches which are very different markets. So I perhaps have a better idea than you how to flow money thru these markets.
Paulme, you churn generating commision. The trick is to churn where you have a slight edge, such that the commision you pay is less than the pc you would have paid. |
By:
The increase to 40 % certainly doesn't catch me yet.
I didn't find a way to make money on BF from day one. |
By:
isnt it 60%?
so you ever paid PC FAFH? |
By:
and what have you ever said thats interesting big mac?
By:
Well I'd like to know pxb's solution too, Paul. Strangely though, I suspect he's unlikely to tell us....
By:
can't answer for mr sandwich, but i can say i appreciate the many dull, repetitive posts he doesn't put up.
By:
bravo to you Bobbin, you seem a like a good chap
By:
ah viva. having a go are we.
what's your problem? |
By:
Ooh. Seems he did. Sort of.
By:
without knowing the detail, what pxb's doing isn't rocket science. but if it relies on low margin churn, then i think he may be in for a nasty surprise if he thinks this is going to make it less competitive for him to implement it.
By:
got a problem viva? i enjoy your posts usually but your obviously a git
By:
I cann't see a way to churn " profitably" from the 20% threshold to the 40% one, even theoretically.
By:
isnt it 60%?
so you ever paid PC FAFH? |
By:
paulme, like your alter ego you'd be all right if you didn't saturation bomb threads with endless questions. half of them show you haven't been paying attention to what's already been said and the other half amount to pestering people for information you've already asked them for.
gets a bit wearing after a while, tbh. |
By:
fair play. this forum, especially today, is like being in a physics seminar when you havnt studied physics
By:
vep, I'm not going into the detail of what I do, except to say I like to experiment and don't mind losing a few quid just to see if something works or not. As I said its a hobby for me. Consequently, I probably have a better handle on a broader range of markets than most. I am confident some will see increased liquidity and others decreased liquidity as a result of this change.
By:

By:
Give paulme a break. It takes time to get your head around the intricacies of the pc.
You don't like his questions just ignore them. |
By:
pxb, i think we're probably doing things that aren't that dissimilar. the 250K think won't directly affect me for a good while yet barring something extraordinary.
but my worry about it is how it will effect the BF ecology. it's like living on the savannah and seeing them burning down the forest. you think it doesn't affect you - till you see the elephants charging your way. |
By:
ah thought you were being nice then but you ended as a git.
whats your problem? |
By:
hello paulol - still questioning people about their lives and how they make their money and what jobs they do and and and
just do some betting and then discuss THAt - you'll find plenty of people happy to engage with you then. Including me. a pound to a penny says you'll do no such thing |
By:

love that |

By:
i bet everyday munter
By:
This Paul's a real charmer.
By:
nah just one of the few none pro gamblers on the forum since avocado left. you heard of him?
By:
well write it up, talk about what you forecast will happen in some given event, give people like me - who are not unfriendly and wish to discuss our bets - a way to engage with you.
I have nothing agaist you at all - just find you impossible to engage with as yr never discussing a bet, whether its a good bet, a bad bet or whatever. |
By:
"i bet everyday munter"
------- i want that on a tee-shirt |
By:
@ vivawho are not unfriendly and wish to discuss our bets really? youve been unfriendly to me since day one!? |
By:
there you go again! Forget advocado. stop being interested in people - its creepy - and be interested in doing bets. And talk about them
By:
Nice analogy vep
Hence my constant experimentation. Adapt or die (as in someone will else will adapt and take away your edge) |
By:
ok i'd love to
avocado was the most vocal none-pro on here. virtually everyone else is pro. why have you been unfriendly to me until now? |
By:
i have been unfriendly yes, and its not in my nature to be so (i'm not one of the footie forum beasts) but youre interest in people is 'creepy' to put it at its kindest.
Lets talk betting , not people |
By:
Adapt or die (as in someone will else will adapt and take away your edge)
------------ yep. nothing lasts forever. as we are witnessing. |
By:
nice having a non-abusive chat with you Paul, but I must be away to Brazil where div.2 is in-play (betting, see!)
By:
this is novel. ok just one more thing. what is it i've done on here that's turned you unfriendly; if that's not your normal mode?
By:
Paul, I've never been aware of seeing you before today (I've probably seen posts by you, but you've never previously impinged on my consciousness), and I must say you don't project a very favourable impression. You do seem to be asking question after question after question, and then insulting people if they aren't incredibly nice to you. Perhaps if you post less and read more, you'll make more progress?
By:
paul, surely you have gleaned from the above that it is your endless questioning AND evident interest in other people that turns people off to you. Particularly the interest in other people.
