Rounded my steak up a bit to show a small prophet. Nothing untoward, just a couple of pounds difference.

But between you and me, I think these teams just do not want to lose so they will accept a 0-0 draw. We shall see.

Its only the second match. The aim is to show an overall prophet at the end of the World Cup. Those afraid to lose NEVER win in the long run.

If this ends 0-0,will the size of your steaks increase on the next ?

If the next game does not qualify for the Holy Grail, then the answer is YES!

This game loss is 4.01 points and RT is -4.01 points.
3 games to consider tomorrow.
Good luck and good night.

I see.It would take a long run of 0-0 HT's and 0-0 HT + FT to damage you.
What is your steak for next non Holy Grail match ?
By:
Slicer
When: 11 Jun 10 21:30
You've got it. It COULD happen, but I'm using minimal steaks so I cant do too much damage. I will consider the odds before the next NHG match and post the bet on hear. Its only for a small interest until a HG match comes along.Good luck to you. Good night.

Would it be fair to say it's a martingale system  ?

Here's an interesting stat, although not WC matches I know, but on Sunday 23rd May there was nearly 7 0-0's in a row on the in-play C/S markets (with 0-0 odds l1.0 or less), saved only by 2 matches having a goal in the 90th minute and 1 match in the 81st minute.

Good evening Mr Slicer.

Hellowwwwwwwwww Dr Slicer ...good to see you contributing to World CUP.....always "interesting" and always a bit of  humour in posts.....Cool

How you decided to do opposite of what most would do on WC opening games is a "mystery".......................................all I can conclude is you are deliberately stirring ............[:D] to obtain re-action to post!Cool

The fishing might catch a few SHARKS ( South Africa styleLaugh)......................but none so far........as i am only a mackerelCool

GL with fight back.....

As you are not applying the HG.........it tis only a bit of wind-up[:D]

Well its almost lunchtime here in Mumbai and I have completed my studying of today's games. Thank you all for your interest.

First of all Mr Winkle it is DR Slicer. I didn't spend 23 years at University just to be called a plain Mister. I am retiring from many things and the Organisation is providing me with a pension and a change of identity. In fact they are paying for plastic surgery so that even I will not know who I am when I wake up after the surgery. I have to take out a special Magnetic and Metal Machine Detecting Indemnity Insurance when I fly because of the damage my shoulders, hips and knees can do to X ray machines. These machines get beeped off with beeping when I walk through.

Trev-many thanks for the stats. Yes- that could certainly happen, that is why I am just playing with minimal steaks for a bit of interest until a Holy Grail game comes along.

Mr Cream64- Martin Gale died penniless after spending many years sleeping rough on a bench in Hyde Park London, so NO-it is not a Martin Gale as you will see on today's first game-remember, the aim is to be in prophet at the end of the tournament. Their is no hurry to recover losses.

DFC- thank you for your interest. I like mey threads to be a bit like the Teletubbies- to inform, entertain and edumacate.

Having addressed the overnite postings I will concentrate on today's games.

Argentina/ Nigeria qualifies for the Holy Grail.
S. Korea/Grease and England/ USA do not.

Will post my bet for the S Korea game at about 12.00 UK time. Remember-It is the Holy Grail which will win my big prophets and will provide much monet. But I am keeping that separate from this other Strategy which I am only doing for a bit of interest and using minimum steaks so as not to upset the gravey if it goes wrong.

Good luck all.

Ok well i've laid 0-0 HT @ 3.3

Backed 0-0 FT @ 15.0

Hopefully goal in first half so don't have to tweak my back at 15.0 and place my additional bet/s Cool
By:

Running Total -4.01 points

5. S Korea v Grease Lay HT 0-0 2.5 points @ 2.42

I hope that Grease is the word (or even S Korea) in the 1st half.

Usual disclaimer applies.
Good luck all.

So does there have to be a 10pt difference between ht 0-0 and ft 0-0 to make it a viable HG bet?
By:
Slicer
When: 12 Jun 10 12:28
Has to be in that region.
