Anyone know what options Norwegians are left with after this? Moneybookers/Neteller still works?

Most bookmakers run a similar scheme whereby you can only deposit.

What is this new law anyway?  Are they saying you can bet but can't move money?  Nothing on the service page.

If you can deposit funds in Norway via the banks I would imagine they have permission to operate still.  It's an protectionist move but not as aggressive as the French one by the looks of it.

Contact Betfair to give you low down, I'm sure there would be something on it if there was a bigger problem just now.

Here is a translation (from Google Translate) of the press release:

Regulations prohibiting the payment of gambling that does not have a Norwegian license was approved in Council today. The regulation means that banks and financial institutions are forbidden to disclose payments from Norway to foreign gambling operators.

- The regulations are an important measures to limit the scope of illegal and addictive gambling in Norway, "said Culture Minister Anniken Huitfeldt. - Norway leads an aggressive policy against illegal gambling and is first in Europe to adopt such a ban, but several EU countries are now preparing similar national payment ban, says minister Huitfeldt.

The regulations mean that banks and financial institutions in Norway will be forbidden to disclose payments from Norway to locations outside Norway that are registered with the merchant code 7995 (gaming activities). Payment to gambling operations in Norway, including Norwegian and the Norwegian National Lottery Toto will not be affected by the ban. Parliament adopted in December 2008 law restricting the payment of gambling without Norwegian consent. Act and Regulations come into force from 1 June 2010.
