Aye, would be good.....
He's playing with real dough....a world of difference I bought a book called "false favourites" and never read form before, now I' m faking it till i make it, calling lays from races after I read this fred. TBH it would be best not to lay some race codes, they're hard to call just by looking at the form book 5mins b4 the off, especially kemps tonight. Even so, calling em before the off keeps my learning strategy honest. Well done to foot soldier, he's the real hero....just reading some of his older freds to learn something new. |

By:
Enjoy ursellll...
By:
P.S. What did hapen with the place lays (i'm on p21, still reading)?
By:
Have a great couple of days off FS, you deserve it!!
Speak to you laters. |
By:
WE found out the place price is a good guide to the chances of a horse winning compared to it's win price.
By:
Is there a formula/calculation for this?
By:
kind of we worked on one but not in too much depth.
By:
basically if a horse was priced 3 in the win you would want that horse to be higher than 1.5 in the place. The higher it was over 1.5 the better chance it had of getting beat.
we traded them as well and looked at what price movement we would want to green up and set that up as the race started. for example lay 3 back back @ 4.5 - 5.5 |
By:
So what's the system part of these large lays? look at the form......and.....
Are you being selective with race codes and meetings for this? |
By:
+ 9500 for five days = 1900 per day. Do this for a year, half a million nearly, fantastic but it takes a lot of guts and know how what to lay I take my hat off to you FS...and what a day today. Have emailed you mate when you have time to read it. Thanks for the advice today and would have been grateful even if some had been losers.
By:
we called them take ons
if a horse was 3 ( 2/1) to win the race but 2 ( evs) to finish in the first 3 that was a take on |
By:
cheers remi
By:
no offence 535 but that's my edge.
By:
FS- Do you truly make an average of over 1500 a day?! That is some edge you have there?!
By:
welcome mate have a good break...
By:
I c.....if the market is near perfect (as it is with large liquidity) then it's a tell when the place odds are in that zone......
Very nice, that should come in useful with my favourites system, thank you very much......pleasure to post here. |
By:
not always you obviousley have patchy days and runs as you will soon see, but when you say this to people they say it can't be done.
well i've just shown you it's not that difficult if you have everything in place. |
By:
Hey no offence bud, pleasure to tolerate my picks on your thread. grateful to ya for it.
By:
Cheers for the advice FS, its always good to see an example of how it can be done, instead of reading alot of the negativism on many other threads!
By:
it's the approach you take to get the 1500 a day that's the key
By:
considering the liabilities have hardly been over 5k i'm in the driving seat for the month.
with 9500 now what would it matter if i lost a 150 lay @ 32's now ;) |
By:
True, it wouldnt even affect half of your profit!
By:
I have to admit, if i made over 5k profit, id withdraw it and pay off some of the mortgage though!!
By:
when you get ahead you build a sponge of comfort between you and your loses and since your ahead you try and increase that sponges size to keep you safe.
And that's what I've done over the years. |
By:
yes bobby i know exactly what you mean
however now you are ahead think what the p/l would be on the 31st of jan @ 1500 a day. |
By:
I think the words you're looking for here is compounding the bank and then splitting the bank into smaller banks to compound again.
By:
yes 535 with the smaller banks being 5k at the start of each month.
By:
46500 would be a lovely amount to take home at the end of the month!!
