footsoldiers, this is a long thread so only read bits of it, curious to know if you ever back or is just laying you do, and do you ever trade out if your lay looks like it might be winning?
By:
just lays mate
and no trading i red booked on a photo to my cost, the horse never won :( |
By:
your welcome just what these 0-0 lays though they have a habit of exploding in yur face when you least expect.
By:
Have you always followed this strategy, I noted earlier in the thread you said you were winning around 50 per day, and then just built it up gradually?
And any reason you don't trade out, even to cut potential losses? Seems a big exposure you have (even if it is only a percentage of your bank) |
By:
well
this isn't my strategy really, cause as you know i bet quite heavy on the tennis and football at times, which are my main 2 markets. On this i've rarely had an exposure of over 5k, so i'm just trying to show it can be done and you can infact make on average 1500 per day over a month.. |
By:
and the reason i don't trade out is it leaves it open for lurkers to come on the thread and say i was aftertiming.....
like some nugget does on the football forum every time i have a winning bet.. |
By:
I also want to prove you can make good money on here by not betting the value...
By:
u get guys talking about value all the time....it bores me to death, it's like a disorder with them a cleaning disorder they can't bet unless they think they have this thing called value
now if i turn over 30k a month a 1000 a day by not betting the value what are they going to say ??? |
By:
u ask 100 guys from the soccer forum what the value is on the pompy match today, they'll all think they have the value you'll get 30 different answers..
they fight and scrimmage over a price on that match instead of looking and finding easier ways to make money without finding value.. |
By:
I could potentially increase my bank in a month by 6 times it's original ammount, without betting value.
it's gonna turn this theory about value on it's head and make people think differently and hopefully make them think about thier bets more.. |
By:
Value was something invented by pro punters years ago who could only back horses and wanted a good price..
now u can lay anything you want value means jack shi t and i'm gonna prove it if a i can... |
By:
Well said fs....
Where the feck are the value footie odds? The odds are way too tight in footie matches imo. The only perceived value (i'm no expert)is finding 1 or two ticks on the fav. False value at such low odds on shots surely.... |
By:
peope think they won a bet because they found the value as well
they are deluding themselves.. |
By:
and that's it really
don't want to say any more on the matter, don't want this thread turning into a talk about value i've been in enough of those in my time on here it's like what comes first the chicken or the egg.. |
By:
yeah, if you lay a 20-1 shot at 40-1, the selection still only has a maximum 5% chance of winning. And how the prices are arrived at is subjective in any case.
Value tends to be applied to the pre event books that are created, but as you can trade out and the prices fluctuate in running, agree that the obsession with value is largely irrelevant on exchanges, unless you take a silly short price in running, or lay something at too big a price unrelated to its theoretical chance. |
By:
Surely FS. you have to try and take avalue bet, so during any losses you dont lose so much.
By:
honestly i never look for value, never have..
I look at sports i know and i don't care the price, as long as i think that the team, the horse, the player will lose i'll lay it or them... regardless as you have seen in this thread.. |
By:
if you look at something and say that shud be 35 but it's 40
that's never stopped me from laying it.. |
By:
Surely FS. you have to try and take avalue bet, so during any losses you dont lose so much.
hopefully with my edge I have I don't get many then value, dosen't matter.. |
By:
but now we're going down that chicken and the egg route again..
let's get away from that and see what my p/l is over 6 months that will be the proof of the pudding.. |
By:
I know what it will be cause i would just need to post my last 8 months p/l
but i want to show people live it can be done.. |
By:
bit thin on the ground today though..
By:
Sure you will do it FS. Ionly lay in small amounts, so have to be carefull with every penny.
