Er... KC, Copperbottomed was a non-runner wasn't it? So there's no reason to stick a smiley after it as though it rendered a profit. Does your tally of +3.5 pts allow for this?
I couldn't find Spartan Duke when I looked, but at least it ran. Nevertheless, using my own variation on the theme I made over 6 pts today. |
By:
KC, what prices are you using to calculate the returns?
By:
Why, Muqbil? Do you get a very different result using the prices you found?
By:
Copperbottomed was a NR, and Spartan Duke finished 3rd...
Looking at the Betfair SP for the winners at 4.50 and 3.80 I make it a profit of 1.30pts allowing for 5% commission... |
By:
...Copperbottomed was a non-runner...
Indeed it was. I didn't watch the race just looked later to see what won. Yesterday's amended total now +2.5 points. |
By:
KC, what prices are you using to calculate the returns?
No prices taken as just papertrading. |

Why, Muqbil? Do you get a very different result using the prices you found? Trialing a laying system using sp is a complete waste of time, it is totally meaningless. If it were possible to lay at sp, no system(s) would be needed. Calculating returns based on bf sp would at least give a clearer indication |
By:
KC...where do u find the nb selections
By:
Calculating with SP+20% and net of comm. covers all with ample room to spare.
Since 'keep bet' I've never had to lay horse, any race, any day at that level of premium. |

football lay for today
w.b.a 2.08 |
By:
West Brom are too short today imo. A very good side on their day, but prone to dropping silly points. Bristol City look decent today, Sheff Weds were shockingly poor at ours a couple of weeks ago.

A bit harsh bradders, but very true I'm afraid.

By:
How come your lot only won in the last minute then Bradders? ;)

Ayr 1.15 Stormy Lord is a lay
Too old (12) and too exposed, horses ages 10 or more 1-142 in handicap hurdles in Feb coming from chasing races |
By:
Is that on HEAVY going HPK?
By:
Last year's race was on SOFT and 11 yo won and 10 yo 2nd.........
BUT this is HEAVY going. |
By:
STORMY LORD is top rated on AM site...has highest TS ...as well as highest at the course...also highest RPR at course amonst those in the race.......It is a chase type horse...and the going is HEAVY....the distance is a "sprint" for an old timer like SL...if stays up right could well win today.

By:
is**around today need to ask him something
cheers. |
By:
if you see him lads can you ask him something for me
he said when cheltnham gets here he said work out the average of the last 3 runs on each horse so say horse finished 3 3 3 average would be 9/3 which is 3 what happens if it's 3 0 3 what do you class the 0 as since it hasn't placed ????? or wud you just take an average of the last 3 times it's placed ?????? cheers. |
By:
That's all races on all going DFC.
Think the "coming from chasing races" bit is the important stat. |
By:
1.05 Newb SCRIPTWRITER 9.8
1.15 Ayr GUNADOIR 10.5 |
By:
good luck 200
By:
FS, it doesnt have to be placed to get that figure, eg, if it 2nd, 6th and 3rd, its would read, 263, when does it actually show a zero? is it if it didnt come in the first 10?? because pulled up and fell are highlighted, maybe you would put 10 if thats what zero represents? ie 10th or worse..
By:
yeah
just on here it shows a zero |
By:
look on here for example first race at Ayr
what would the average be for wise choice ??? |
By:
for example, CHOUXdamour finished 16th out of 18 runners last time, it says 0, so maybe it would count as 10, or actually count the 16??
By:
too much work finding out how many runners was in it's race last time out imo...
**will know what to do |
By:
So the stat you posted must be just last year's 11 yo winner then at AYR!
By:
WISE CHOICE came 11th and 16th last 2 races, so count them as 11 and 16, or both 10?? so it would be 3,10,10 = 7.6 or 3,11,16= 10
i dont know for sure obviosly how he does it, |
By:
it shows you when you place your mouse over the horse on the RP cards,
By:
cheers
hopefully he'll be around today to clear it up where's buzzer gone ?? |
By:
DFCIRONMAN 09 Feb 13:01
So the stat you posted must be just last year's 11 yo winner then at AYR! Did the winner of last years race come from a chase race the time before? |
By:
good call hotpot....where do u get your stats from?
By:
Nothing wrong with that HPK...wd re SL lay.....a 9 yo won...so one of older horses won race...SL did struggle today.
Chase types do win at this distance on this going...not so sure your stat is accurate....remember that the weather has changed greatly over last few years....not often you get HEAVY going in FEBRUARY in hurdles races...SOFT yes etc |
By:
200 A DAY FULL TIME WINNER!!! 09 Feb 12:48
1.05 Newb SCRIPTWRITER 9.8 1.15 Ayr GUNADOIR 10.5 Full house again today 200 :) Well done also Hotpotkid, great stats m8...Intrigued as to where you get them from, but understand if you don't want to say :) |
By:
Sorry HPK ...it was another race at AYR ...not same race...BIRDWATCH won in 2006 ...BUT going was only SOFT....as an 8 yo.
I suspect i am "right" re your stat though in that there will be very very few HEAVY going races in amongst the "all goings" description. |
By:
For FEBRUARY that is.
