2 failures but not a drama. see you to-morrow Nope - SR has been exceeding target lately so a bit of varience was due. No worries tho - had worse days than this. You need to start worrying when you lay 4 or 5 in losers in a day!! Laying is definitely a grind and it's not for the faint hearted :-) |

Well another losing day here. But as I said yesterday not unexpected. You can't have sustained winning runs without coming up against some resistance now and again! Just a little variance to bring the SR down a touch. I do think that the Sr was a little on the high side being 94% over the last few weeks!!

I've been paper trialling my own lay bet selection method (I've never really taken lay betting seriously) and thought it was going great with 25 straight winning lays from the off and was about to start my own thread when WALLOP! 7 losining bets this week would have put me right back to where the paper trading bank started on 28th April!
A rough game laying so hats off to you Steve for making it pay! I'm on another selection method now inspired by Unionjack's threads and will trial for a while and may start a thread in late June or July if it looks good... Gazza |

Gazza Hi Gazza Yes mate - 10 steps forward and 9 steps back! I was re-reading Marias famous thread the other day and realised she was only up in the region of £1,200 after 3 months. And some months she only made a profit on the last few days of that month! Some weeks you are def. just treading water and trying to stay afloat. Good luck with your new method - just stick at it. Even the one that gave you 7 losers in a week. Most people give up too early on a system when they hit the inevtable losing run - you have to remember that for every losing run there will be winning runs. Good staking, patience and persiverance is whats needed and you'll do well :-) |
