I'm only 1 mile to the beach also, a quiet bay where the water is only about 3 foot deep for the first hundred yards, and on sunny, summer days is like stepping into a warm bath. Life is slow!!

curious...how much per month do you need to live there?

alot.... my missus earns a decent wage 3 and half grand (british pound) and it's just enough to live comfortably...........it's more expensive than UK but they earn more, but then again I've never been to London (only to football games) and I expect it's just as expensive there in parts

it's just the price of beers that get me...........it's about the same as UK in Supermarkets but I paid 12 sterling for 1 and a half pints in one bar

Fair play, IQMJ.

I was never convinced with your earlier posts that you often abandoned when things started going pear shaped! Sounds like you have landed very much on your feet and made a bold move upping stix and moving country.

A good time for growing out of the pub culture by the sound of it!

Good luck and I hope things continue to work out well for you m8.

8 quid a pint does seem excessive; paid about 4 the other day. It is the area I think, but look around and i'm sure that you'll find places.

I quit my job - sounds like you have it sussed out there especially if you can keep tipping the way you did yesterday you won't need to get a job and you will be able to afford the drinks in the POSH parts of Copenhagen

but if u r looking for big money u might like V75 where u have to predict winners from 7 swedish trottingraces. This is a swedish game but u can buy coupons in many danish kiosques because of joit venture between the danish and swedish totes

I knew you would come back with that and I just think it's down to language differences. Your biggest one is fairly large and 176 km (110 miles) long.
I think most people outside Denmark would consider that a river and not a stream.

Okay.....um....don't remember drinking during the day. Was there on business but remember crossing a bridge over a river.

Looking at a map, when I am walking over the bridge that leads onto amager boulevard, what am I going over?

hi shapeshifter , Amager is a part of Copenhagen but Amager is also an Island so the water was the sea. Also in that area u will find Christianshavns kanal(channel)
