Is it the movement in price, or the change of score? i.e Do you scratch because the odds on a player have risen back to starting odds or because the score shows they have been broken/lost a set/down a mini-break/facing break points? The two aren't as obviously linked as they may seem at first.

The two aren't as obviously linked as they may seem at first. thanks for explainig. most of the times I start looking for a scratch trade, when a my selection loses the first set. sometimes I also look for scratch trade when the first set goes into a TB, or there are many breaks already in the first set, and I think its not worth the pain. there are plenty of matches to come. (a lot of discretionary trading) but it is never a mistake to scratch a trade, imho. sure, if a selection wins the first set and the price rises in the second set to my entry price (because of a break or breakpoints (0:40)I will trhen go for a scratch trade.
