Sorry I get it, as Wolfsburg scored first, you would have immediately traded out of the bet.

yeah u got it footy, it was a strange game though, cos i actually thought that Kazan would win, and expected the price to move more than it did when they scored, but we live and learn

I still think backing 0-0 pre K.O. and laying the draw in-play after 20 minutes is a better idea BUT well done so far, cheers.

What if theres is a goal before 20min? Then you loose your stake backing 0-0.. ?
By:
footyfan
When: 23 Mar 10 15:35
Not only that, but you lose your means of making a quick trade when the goal goes in, since you are only at that point laying the draw.

there is an opportunity to but a back of 0-0 on pre kick off but it does take the vast majority of your potential profits while I believe there are many ways of playing this market, I believe i have a fairly good idea of how to play MY way, my weakness at the moment is getting out when things go seriously wrong, its all about taking the profit in chunks i think but im nowhere near getting this perfect yet

So whats the best way to get out then? If the game is going towards 0-0, ive been thinking of backing at 2 and take a loss. I believe that would be around 60minutes for most matches where the teams a fairley evenly matched.. The only problem is that there is a 30min of football still to be played.

If i back 0-0 pre KO, and lay pre KO, I can sit and wait for the goal, but this will minimize my potential winnings very much.

I apoligise for my bad english.

Nice idea to wait 20 after backing 0-0,get a nice lay of the draw but fingers crossed for 20 mins.I make the average chance of a goal in first 15 min about 12%. . .

Lars the best way to get out changes from game to game, with a 0-0 game, i like to think i use my knowledge of the game to an extent, some games (although there is always a chance of being wrong) look like they could play all day and a goal wont be scored, i tend to back the draw in these situations, some times its worth giving a couple of minutes extra and cross your fingers for a goal, other times take the loss at 2s, its a fine line between these bets, ive been fortunate so far in my quest but I have no doubt that it will get more difficult

Stay tuned...

Slap off the discipline gods - i like it

Was a strange game again, because i fancied Wolves to take the three points, half expected the draw to stay at 4ish after the first goal, but not 3.4-3.5 maybe i shouldve backed myself for another couple of minutes, gotta be happy all in all though

That's a small loss compared to accepting a loss after 70 minutes with 0-0.
0-0 odds are big, you just need a very small stake to cover your lay of the draw.
But once the game is on, if you see too much action you can lay 0-0 and leave with a minimal profit. But like I said, it's just an idea from someone who played "lay the draw" many times long ago.

Cheers

great thread and definately thinking of starting up to go alongside my slow compouding plan ( currently adding 0.5 - 1%) to my bank each bet by dutching win & draw pre ko and then backing losing team in play to green up.
anyway in an earlier reply you stated
" 2) It stays 0-0 i tend to stay in the game until 70-75 mins and then get out (i watch the odds go to 2.0 for the draw and alarm bells start ringing, there are plays if things go wrong late on in a game but essentially im going out with a loss "

Could you give some examples of these plays ? Would be greatlt appriciated. thanks
