General Betting

I am going to start a thread hopefully that will last the whole year wishful thing I know but I will be only betting on events that have a good chance of winning I dont want to bet just for the sake of it so I could go days even weeks without a bet so its going to take alot of patience and disapline my target is going to be 50k again wishful thinking but hopefully this thread will keep me in line and stay focused I will be starting with 5k if there is a chance to trade off in any bets I will do it if im happy enough with the odds this is my last 5k Im willing to back with so if it fails then I will be giving betfair a miss for 2010 I have no system or anything like that I just try and find value and bet what I think is right for that event I will be betting big money at times so the heart will be racing quite a bit so lets hope this is the start of a bright and profitable new year.

I feel this is a decent bet I really cant see him losing to anyone at the moment I will watch with interest over the next few days and see how he plays, he will defo get to the semi's at least so I will see how he plays and I will trade out as I see fit

2nd Bet the pool to beat wolves I really cant see anything but a pool win at home I wld never usually back the pool cause there hopeless but against wolves they shld have to much for them at home I had this bet earlier but had no time to post gl if ur on the pool hopefully they get of to a good start and I can trade out quite quickly

Good thread and will be reading with interest. This is how to do it in my opinion... bigger stakes on value short prices although not sure Liverpool fall into this category.

Cheers scrooge my aim is to think big and bet big but there wont be bets every day if im not happy i wont bet just for the sake of it I will pick my moments I still think the pool will do it but im a villa fan and seeing what i have seen so far I think there in for a hiding at villa park

I didnt think it was an awful bet chop I had very strong feeling the pool wld win the idea with this bet was to trade out as soon as the pool scored I thought it wld go down to 1.10ish but cause it was in 2nd half they scored it went to 1.07 but I was never worried that's when they scored I put all my profits on the pool I wld usually spread it out but I didnt think wolves wld come back in it

Not at all kim they are 2 games I really fancied today and im going with what I feel got out of the chelsea game a bit lucky I must admit but it dont matter if its 1.30ish or whatever the odds my plan is to trade out as soon as I can there will be times where the odds will be much much higher its just the games I fancy today are at lower odds

I have to admit im in a position where I cant lose in this city game but losing the newcastle game showed me my disapline has to change big time cause I was so angry about that game that I just lumped on city I hope they go on and win but what ever the result I need to change my ways or this thread wont last sometimes I just need to except the loss and move on

With a start like this I'm not sure it will last too long. You need the discipline angle from the word go. Read your own starting summary and stick with it.
