You must have clubs which hook directly into the golf course API. Preferably you need to be standing on a direct linx to the course. It also helps if you have fast vision.

Having said all that, the interface for golf is clearly wrong. Golfers should be required to nominate the number of shots on each hole - those who bid the lowest should win the hole - like a closed bid golfing.

Also practice swings should be outlawed since this clearly gives those who practice an unfair advantage. How can anyone expect to make a living against people who practice constantly and have the ability to cancel their swing before hitting the ball? That's not what golf was invented for.

You have to set a target for each hole of -2 otherwise you have no chance

Played the amateur circuit from 1979 to 1981. A six week circuit: Bermuda / Carolina / Nova Scotia / Toronto / Florida / NY State.

The U.S. college boys would do the circuit as part of the scholarships. I did it because I loved golf and it was a great way to travel and party at the same time. 75% were the same players every week as well as from year to year.

The week was travel Monday, practice Tue/Wed, four round to Sunday.

First two days were serious golf for everyone. Then once you found your place on the leaderboard and realized you wouldn't win, you would find the players around your score and hit the town. Once stayed up all night in Bermuda, pulled up ten minutes before my tee time still stinking of local home made booze that I had bought at 4AM on my way home, got the evil eye from the officials while my playing partners chuckled, and shot the low score of the week shaving around 12 strokes off my game!

I was there for the party. The U.S. boys were there for the points. They were fiercely competitive as well. Focus beyond anything I had seen if they were in the top five going into the last day. Made me play better trying to keep up with their games. But watching them land shots that would hit the green like a dart was incredible. Mainly improved my ability around the green and learnt alot about reading putts.

The entire three years, I lead a tournament for one hole (Bermuda - August 1980). I teed off early and birdied. Everyone else either parred or worse. That same tournament, sliced an approach to the 9th that went into the cake at a wedding reception :)

There was also an islander whose house was on the course. Would sit all day in his chair on his porch. If your ball landed on his roof, he would charge you $1 to rent his ladder to get it out of his gutter. If you said no thanks, he would pull a rope and it would land in a bucket that said Balls $1.50. Classic. Alot of us landed on the roof. His house was over a hill so your drive was blind. We found out later from the locals that he took care of his 4 year old grand son during the day. If the ball landed near the house, the grand son would scamper out, grab the ball and throw it up onto the roof then hide in the house. Classic :)

Shapeshifter, great reminisces.
Does that amateur circuit have a name and is it still in operation?
