if a horse is , say 3.5 just before the off and the horse goes off in front stealing many lengths the bsp will be alot lower due to the track people seeing it 2 secs before us

ZEALOT, when you say "the track", do you mean the point of the "off" or the point that the SP is determined.
When betfair suspend and go into transition to inplay, the SP is calculated at the point of SUSPENSION which is at the exact moment of the "actual" off. |

In these jump races, stealing lengths can become obvious before the actual off. In the case of Twist Magic in the Tingle Creek (BSP 3.02 v 9/4 industry), it was obvious as they were coming into line, but before the off, that he was going to nick a lead. |
