I have moved to a fairly remote island myself thanks to betfair, it's still fairly busy between 7 and 9 a.m though and those lorries often splash rain water over my abode leaving me praying for a bit of sun before the unpleasant dark evening kicks in.

A good question. I gave up a decent career to become a full time gambler so am I richer than I would otherwise have been?
Not sure but my life is a lot easier than killing myself over a lengthy commute and all the ** politics of 'work'.
In the meantime I have made 6 figures every year since I started so I haven't lost out too much.

Started to make really good money past six months, then had a rotten couple of weeks recently, but still well up albeit with less confidence to betting now. I sometimes wonder if it is possible to make good money consistently over a long period of time, or if it's just cyclical good runs, some of which last a lot longer than others before a downturn.

every one dreams of a home job working for yourself but you make a good point terry. you still have to put the hours in and you still have some sort of work pressures, and of course you have to make it pay. how many hours a week u on here terry?

Total deposits £1430, total withdrawals £1528.70, so up £98.70. Would be £27 pound more than that but in the 13:20 at Southwell yesterday Solicitor was available to lay at 1.09 but was backable with bookies at 4/9. Had £200 with William Hill at 4/9 layed £300 at 1.09.

**ingloser 16 Nov 20:11 good going fred.. .looks like im the only loser here. and betfair are just lying about the 0.5% who actually make money on here..;)
It's 0.5% who are said to pay PC. Betfair said 2% of winning customers pay PC. I guess that means about 25% of accounts are in profit. Although this probably includes people that opened an account got their free bet, made some money, and never used the site again.

Used to run a part time business on ebay pulling in £500 a month extra to pay off debt, go on hols etc, but seemed to take up all my spare time, and as I had a full time job too, I was knackered, never spent time with wife or going out etc.
Since giving ebay up and moving to betfair, I consistently earn a similar amount, if not more some months, but only need to spend 30 mins - an hour a day to get it (which I can do whilst at full time work!).
Much better off, both time wise and financially.Used to run a part time business on ebay pulling in £500 a month extra to pay off debt, go on hols etc, but seemed to take up all my spare time, and as I had a full time job too, I was knackered, never
