Me too, shame about this place but nothing lasts forever.

I've tried a few times to register but keep getting this message: You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password. 

Anyone else with this problem?

It means you're waiting to be activated, usually only takes a little while but assuming it means Reged has to ok it and as he's now obviously getting run over a bit perhaps he's just catching up.

You could message him on here maybe, definitely don't despair, that's exactly the same all users get when they initially register before their account is finally activated.

i had to do the name and password 3/4 times before it was accepted, think something
to do with making sure ye not a 'robot'...

Received email saying my account was activated but still got that error message.

Ok, still can't log in so I guess I'm out. I just don't have time to figure out these error messages or contact admin.

I'm sure if you drop Reged a message on here he'd be able to help out.

It is Reged's site, I don't think that it was meant to be a rallying cry when he posted but it was seized upon, I hope that he is comfortable, but for a site that we are told is a shadow of its former self there has been some response to its impending demise, into the 90's now registered there in just a few days.

Could be an issue there. I just opened the page up. I was logged out and after signing in got ‘wrong username or password’  message. Both are saved so definitely not wrong. Teething problems imo.

I've registered but can't log in. I think I'm waiting for my confirmation email.

I had similar problem and then had 2 emails waiting for confirmation after changing username,teething trouble as stated but sorted now

I'm the opposite of thick. My account has been activated but it doesn't allow me to log in.

I must be Sofaking thick because I can’t see a membership tab anywhere.

There seems to be a lot viewing who aren’t/haven’t signed up. Currently 38 logged in as guests.

In total there are 56 users online :: 16 Registered, 2 Hidden and 38 Guests :: 1 Bot

I am in the same position, it has now been created but i am waiting for the email to allow activation. Nobody replies when you ask for technical help.

Celeric. For some reason I can’t see a membership list. Try going on the site and I will see if you’re classed as ‘online’ with them.

FWIW I took registered, waited for a non-existent email. Logged on anyway and all was fine.

If this still isn't working I'd ask admin to delete the account and try again. We need to keep this going and not lose anyone in the process.

On the subject of an error, I like how this forum allows you to correct these mistakes AFTER posting. That's cool.

Yes, that can be a double edged sword, if users change the context of the message after others have replied.

People starting to slightly query about tech issues or even 'support' - probably best to note this forum admin guy was not expecting this to happen and suddenly be swamped. It's not his professional job (I believe) so he's likely doing this forum for free.

So, give him a little bit of leeway with it all - it must have been mad for this suddenly to happen on his forum that he set up earlier.

But Reged - you are already a legend.

Agreed, it is encouraging though that as he said in his initial post on here, he did set it up for this very reason and by posting it after Betfair's announcement he must be, even subconsciously, inviting us to join, even if he perhaps wasn't prepared for the stampede.

Bit of a duffer site for me. Managed to join as no 142 but will not let me log in again.

Guess the show is over.

Persevere barstool, a few have had that issue but resolved eventually, keep trying to log in.

Make sure you don’t have the same issue as I had, Barstool. Google saved my login details wrong. It saved my email and password instead of username and password.

Managed to log on this morning via e mail link and tried to make a couple of posts which did not show up, maybe a time lapse thing and will try again a t some point.

Have to say I have my doubts has to whether this bird will fly.

The bird is flying barstool - it must be you that is doing something wrong or just not used to the format as yet, perseverance is all you need.
