England fans would have preferred to go out like that. Well done England and great heart from France.

That was the joint 5th highest scoring World Cup game of all time

There's been 1067 World Cup matches in history

12 goals was the record, Austria v Swiss 1954, in normal time.

it was a waste of time and the players clearly thought so, hence the score. no serious world cup match with anything riding on it ends in that score

Defence has to be addressed after the tournament.

You've got Spence who finished 17th in the league, had a couple of good games but that's about it.
Stones barely played for City all season wrong side 30
Quansah playing in a Mickey mouse league gets himself sent off forcing us to defend at the Azteca for half the match a man down
James forever half fit with his dodgy hamstrings
O'Reilly a make shift left back when he a left sided mid by nature.
Guehi miles off of being in the same bracket as Terry, Ferdinand or ever Campbell
Konsa has looked awful and at fault for 2-3 of the goals, yet some say he's been good, they haven't been watching
and Pickford in goal spent most of his career bottom half of the table

every single game has seen a different back 4, Spain the same every match, conceded 1 goal in 7 matches.

far cry from the likes of Ashley Cole, Ferdinand, Campbell, Adams, Terry, Neville etc.

Disagree…..going home Wednesday would have been toxic……the surrender was horrendous and you need to lose that baggage if you can…..

People can go watch training matches for free

If that's what turns them on.

Lovely for the players to win all the same after the disappointment of the semi final.

It's a start of the reser, recovery and euros.

It will be better football because it will have two better teams, but I can see it being boring as hell.

At least in 2 years time they're wont be any heat, humidity, long distance travelling and altitude problems to deal with, plus a home crowd.

This England team are nowhere near as good as the '98 side, who put up a much better show against Argentina and were genuinely unlucky.

that's where the similarities end, Tuchel wouldn't take a 60 mile round trip just to test his eyesight
