1.82 Spain is outrageous. Anyone know how/why VAR intervened to overturn that dangerous French free kick? Never seen that before

Crazy crazy market. Never even a moments doubt

France were poor for long periods against Paraguay, and then against a Morocco who didn't turn up. They were very poor again tonight against a better side, and were well beaten. On the evidence of the last three games they were massively overrated.

The slick Spaniards do it again. Cool 37 matches now unbeaten, and just equalled Italy's international record of 31 consecutive competitive matches unbeaten (set between 2018 and 2021) You can have a moan about the overall style of the Spanish, but you simply can't deny their effectiveness at besting their opps. To sum up the state of play, the ever confident, near arrogant, Patrick Viera at HT: Spain are too good for France.

Not sure if Spain were great, or France were appallingly bad, bit of both.

I couldn't see why that wasn't a penalty towards the end that would have likely have made it an even easier win. Defender just shoved Yamal over.

They cant be any worse Pen , France hardly took part , took Dembele 90 Mins to wake up

Some teams are alright when it's all going their way.
They were gutless tonight.

Spain were superb - tonight's masterclass was the best in the tournament by a country mile

.... Yes Kriskin, but from what we have seen so far are they odds on to do it again. ??

Loved football all my life, but im fed up with it now, the idea is supposed to be to score goals, 5 shots on target the whole game, the 2 from spain were the penalty and the goal, 3 from france all after the 60th min, dull as ditchwater.

Spain must be hoping Argentina win, must be sweating at the thought of having to face Madueke instead

All of these people seemingly underwhelmed by Spain in this tournament should consider the scores on the doors - Spain 13 Opponents 1.

That is why they are in the final.

I wouldn't call it a masterclass, it didn't need to be. France were woeful, deserved to lose 5-0 they were that bad (not that Spain deserved 5-0). None of their famed front 4 turned up.

The Spanish have been very consistent over the last few years.  Current European champions as well. On that performance tonight they have to be hard to beat whoever plays against them in the final

France were made to look ordinary due to Spain to being different class.  That is the simple answer

If Spain play like that again on Sunday Argentina or England will struggle like the French tonight.  Spain now 1.72 on the outright market

Nope. Look at Olise in particular playing balls straight to Spain players all game. That is not down to Spain, they are hard to play against but not that hard. Belgium and Portugal gave them a better game.

Spain are nightmare opposition for England, even moreso than playing against low blocks, at least against low blocks we can have the ball and eventually break them down, with this tedious obsession with possession based team it'll frustrate the life out of England.
By:

When: 14 Jul 26 22:21
England can sit in a low block and look to hit one the counter against Spain's high line. That might suit England.

We are not close to Spain in terms of retention of the ball or passing and moving, making space for teamates to pass, we needed to play a side like France that would have given up a lot more space
By:

When: 14 Jul 26 22:23
England do not have the defenders to play a low block.

Portugal and Belgium sat in and it took Spain 90 mins to get the winner.

Have you ever seen a match where a team controls possession and the other team they never find their rhythm, France never got going tonight , the managers changes to the starting line up completely failed

Just about saved £1900 cashing out on France in the 75th minute

Plenty of more boring games in the tournament – this one felt quite full of energy and speed etc. And anyway we've seen many teams play a close down style of play – Jose and his Chelsea teams at times, 1-0 to the Arsenal, heck even the Barcelona team of the late 2000s early 2010s with their ridiculous possession and passing around.

Anyway each to their own but it's unlikely a WC semi-final is going to be too high scoring.

France played like they all had food-poisoning. Wasn't a good contest. A big let down for such a big game and what was expected of it.

When: 14 Jul 26 22:35
France finished the game with zero big chances creaated, less than 0.4xG and Mbappe, Dembele, Olise all went missing, how was that a great game? it was completely one sided, and the team who were in control were boring to watch.
