A fascinating game, two things that will decide the outcome for me is how will France be able to deal with Spain's higher technical passing ability and how will Spain be able to deal with France's explosive attack when they turn it over, Spain will have most of the ball and will surely test that French backline.
I think Deschamps will blink first in this one, he's been able to suppress his natural caution to play four attack minded players up top in most games so far, here I reckon he'll sacrifice one in order to slot Tchouameni or whoever in alongside Kone and Rabiot to sure up that midfield. Great game in prospect, notwithstanding the fact that we've got to get past Argentina I think we'd have a better chance against France as at least they'd give us a chance to attack them whereas I think that Spain would just suffocate us with their passing. |

spain barely tested portugal, belgiums, back line, didnt score against cape verdi, put 1 past uruguay, pain having lots of the balk doent mean creating chances, they havnt got a striker/no 9, and france will be quite happy to entice them forward/having plewnty of the ball, backing themelves to defende it and breaking on them when they do get the ball, is yamal likely to step up massively againt the bet oppoition he,s faced ?,going to need to imo for pain to get a result,my last 3 pre tourny bets include france outright and mbappe golden ball so i wont be punting in this one

My book is green on all, Argentina being the lowest amount but still fine.
Argentina v Spain final is trading @ 5.30 and I've had a piece of that. If that does happen I'd definitely be in the Spain camp for the win. But who knows? All four choices are in the mix. |

yup all green here also.
im on france to win this- deffo the better team. vive le france |

Agree France a level above Spain for me. Could be a tight game tho. Deschamps usually plays negative against opponents like this.
Spain's strength seems to be keeping the opposition away from their defence by keeping possession and being well drilled out of possession. As a back 4 they are not very good defensively and all have a mistake in them imo. Big mismatch in the forward lines too. Yamal has been very poor so far. Don't expect that to change here, he looks about 60% of the level he was 2 years ago. |
|
By:
France have been head and shoulders above anyone else in the tournament, more of a test of their backline tomorrow but with their firepower they are unopposable.

dumbells is always prone to a shocker, been average since hat trick, they cant make their mind up on left,so spain will be hoping mbappe doesnt get in the the game, which can happen if spain starve thenm of the ball, could go the distance

France the best team in the tourney but up against the 2nd best team. For the good of the game and the neutral viewer, lets hope France prevail because Spain would bore the t t s off you. This game absolutely reeks of a draw though, so I've layed the French at 2.40 (which always looked skinny).
Surprised that any England fans would prefer France in the final, should they both get there. I think you'll see the market completely disagree. Watch what happens to the England outright price if Spain turn the French over - currently 4.5 - 4.6 that will shorten right up. If Les Bleus go thru, England will drift out. Count on it. |
|
By:
2 shootouts highly likely here. If I were to pick a team who can't win its Argentina. After that take your pick.
|
|
By:
Of course we would be closer in the market to Spain than France but I'd prefer France because although France have a greater firepower they'll at least let England have their shot at attacking them and that is what Tuchel is supposed to want us to play like, a proper EPL game and we'd just have to win or lose going for it, against Spain we wouldn't get the ball.

FRA v ENG might be a more entertaining game (in fact it would be, no doubt about it) but England have a far greater chance v Spain because the draw is far likelier in that match up, and when its a draw, its anyone's game in ET and pens. (and haven't Spain lost just as many big games on pens (or even more) than England ?)

duffy is right, England v France would be like it was at the last World Cup, Spain would bore us to tears, it'd be death by a thousand passes, no thanks. At least the French will give us space to run into to, Deschamps would hardly set up to be defensive against us.
And if England can't beat Argentina, I'd like to see France have another go it in a repeat final, those Argie mugs were lauding it over them at the final whistle last time, as they have done with the Dutch in past as well, they are shameless and classless animals. Kind Regards. |

Going against the grain a bit. I don't think it will be that close. France are a team on the up, close to their peak. Spain are on the decline, imo, nowhere near as good as they were two years ago. Yamal doesn't look the player he was a year or two ago, although still capable of flashes of brilliance. Oyarzabal has been a big letdown, Rodri is just about past it, Pedri and Baena haven't really delivered either. Olmo and Cucurella have played well, but the famed Spanish control of the midfield hasn't been that evident to me. France should have no problems overrunning them. France to win 3-1 or 4-1.
