Liverpool lucky that Salah is going, when he signed the new contract his playing went off the boil for the rest of the season, not much better in season just gone. He has his moments though.

messi should not be allowed anywhere near a penalty spot for argentina. those stats are absolutely terrible. absolutely anybody who plays football at any level would expect to score half the penalties they take if not more. at this level fifty percent scored is nowhere near good enough and with that missed penalty from messi, egypt have a real chance now. they wont look for a second so its a case of can they hold out and on the basis they are far better than cape verde they should have every chance

I get that Winja.
It broke my heart at the time. Then the other goal in that game, one of, if not the best of all time. But look at all the cheating players do now, diving, rolling around like they have been shot etc. Would any player these days not do that given the opportunity in such a big game? Remember watching it live thinking, how the heck has he won that header? So he disguised it unbelievably well. |

Messi and Ronaldo are past their best as is inevitable. Still know how to play but their bodies don't obey their brain. The new teams on the block don't have the baggage of the waning stars. Salah has not done much either but Egypt have some good young players.

He purposely cheated and lied to the ref who was a clown and then had the audacity to say it was the hand of god which unbelievably the world adopted to cover the cheat……..the second goal was after Englands mind set was corrupted by the sheer unfairness of the situation…..for me the cheat is easily forgotten in a world where true professionals set the examples….

^ not to mention the pattern of play would have been different if he hadn't of cheated, so the second goal would never have happened without the first cheating goal anyway.

I get it Winja and i agree, it was blatant cheating.
Still for me doesn't take away the ability he had. Imagine him on these perfect pitches without players able to hack him down like they did, sometimes without even a yellow, for what is now a blatant red. |

The other day Ronaldo came into the tunnel early and gave all the kids a high five both sides and harland saw the kid was so exciting to see a giant he picked him up…..in a non-noncy way…..and gave him a cuddle….I prefer those images to the cheating dwarf……

What amazes me about the South Americans is that they will do anything to win a game, all the dark arts you can think of, they'd sell their own grannies down the river just to get goal or a pen or the slightest of advantage.
