"Pink is the new black at the 2026 World Cup.

It hasn’t taken viewers long to notice that the footwear on display in the tournament’s first few matches has been vibrant but remarkably monochromatic. Nike, Adidas, Puma, New Balance and Skechers have all supplied players with variations of bright pink cleats from special releases for the World Cup.

Just read it's because Pink helps bring out the green grass, yeah, it's clearly a LGBTQ promotion, but they don't want the Gillette effect backlash

It's a bit like the Boxing comms when they finally realise the scripted points win for the UK favourite is going to look ridiculous and start backtracking

ALL that attacking talent on the pitch for France and yet to have 1 shot on target in a whole damn half. They should feel utterly ashamed.

The increase in defending nous coupled with the eradication of flair in world football in recent times has resulted in a narrowing in the gap between the good and bad which sees us watching turgid stalemates, we've never been closer to seeing one of the also rans winning a WC.

they should have maximum terms for pundits, imo. Shearer and his show-off mates have been gravy-training for far too long.

its far  simpler than that 90% of thee elite players play for clubs who are far better than the national teams they play for, so its like mbappe trying to show he,s a superstar while  playing for palace or Brentford for example

1tp, that's always been the case apart from maybe Spain in 2010, PSG aside, club football is currently poor right across Europe.

You're not going to get a shock nation winning the World Cup, 8 games to win this tournament, you need real strength in depth to go the whole way, likes of Senegal and Morocco don't have it, it will be your Frances's, Spain's Portugal's, England's at the thick end of the tournament, we've always had shock results over the years, Senegal beat France at the World Cup back in 2002, Spain lost to Swiss 1st match 2010, went on to win, Argies lost to Saudi's 2022, went on to win. England lost to Romania in the groups in 98, France needed a golden goal to KO Paraguay in the same world cup 1st knockout game as we all think to that French side as an all time great team.

I can't see any African or Asian side making the final, Norway have a couple of good player but they also have a lack in quality past that.

Im thinking its my age, but honestly Horse racing used to be my whole world, worked as a betting shop manager for 12 years, loved it from the age of 10, now I hardly ever watch apart form the big races and Cheltenham, admittedly having won a lot of money matched betting before becoming heavily restricted took the betting edge off for me, now I watch football, another massive part of my life with Arsenal at 14 for 2 years, would get nervous and excited before watching a game, now I find it all so slow and boring, I do enjoy tennis but are sports become just not as exciting as they used to be.
