Well I've been laying the hell out France.  3.15 is way too short. If they just go a goal down at some point they will be bigger.

Still stuck with my Norway bets as bigger price than SP Laugh

Unless Spain can put it together and play like they can, I really can't see who can stop France.

I only watched the second half last night. Not surprised at the reaction, it's what you get if you trying to sell the game. How did it take France 45 minutes to score? Even that was terrible defending, surely you should be at least trying to always cover the inside. If he goes outside then the danger is limited. Same for the third goal. In the second half the Swedish midfield may as well have got the deckchairs out. They were literally just standing around watching. You might be outclassed, but you can at least make it look like you are trying. I didn't see a lot of the Group games, but Sweden in that second half looked the worst side I have seen. Even then they managed a couple of chances. I would have thought the blueprint against France is to convert one of those chances, and then defend an awful lot better than Sweden. The second part shouldn't be that difficult.

They could have had 3 or 4 in the first half, hit the post twice and dembele missed a good chance

Argentina still my favourites and it's looking like mimicking the last WC regarding France and Argentina to me, France the sexy option with all that explosiveness just as they were last time but Argentina very much the complete team capable of absorbing France's firepower and delivering their own, less flashy offensive, but equally as effective threat.

England into the last 16 and a bigger price than pre tournament

A harsh assessment of Sweden above, imho. I thought they did as well as they could.

Tobermory what's the rationale behind the big red on France?
By:
tobermory
When: 05 Jul 26 23:36
Just that 2/1 seemed too short for anyone to be at Last 16 stage, and, as said above, even if they just go a goal down there is a big chance to reduce the red, even if they ultimately win it.

I'm small green England, about 118 red Mex, but yeah Norway would go a lot shorter.

I don't think Norway's price would shift much if Mexico win, 20/1 or thereabouts seems short to me with the likelihood that they have to face probably three teams out of England, Mexico, Spain, France and Argentina, you'd think that because the field is narrowing down that they must shorten but in truth only a tiny percentage of the market has been removed so it hasn't narrowed down because all of the teams that can win it are all still there, Norway are unlikely to get a pass which is what you'd want.

Obviously you want one or more of the big guns slipping up, in a likely semi final line up Norway would be comfortably a double figure price to win  the World Cup still.
By:
tobermory
When: 06 Jul 26 00:29
Yeah, Norway maybe only drop from 20 to 17 if Mexixo win, but I could see them out to 24/25 if England won well.

Getting a good run for your money though, with Haaland there's always a chance too.

The Argies, Spain or France slipping up is where the price will dive, you're small greens on Morocco and Colombia and a small red on Portugal but in reality those three teams are all big greens for you.

What would Norway be in a final against France. 3s?

I think they smash Argentina, so it's just beating England
