I liked Carlo as manager but his reputation maybe masks his actual record at Everton. In his one full season (20/21) Everton finished tenth after an excellent start, they did have a stellar away record with 11 wins but amazingly lost no fewer than 10 at Goodison !! Sound familiar ?

Carlo also had Richarlison, James Rodriguez and a fit and firing Calvert-Lewin to call on as well as Sigurdsson. And yet we still only scored 47 league goals.

Of course there may well be someone out there who can do better, but in the absence of any names it all seems rather fruitless just saying Moyes should go.
Be careful what you wish for (as we have found out all too often ).

Yes its true that some were not unhappy when DM left in 2013, but they were the ones who thought finishing in the top 8 every year was not good enough and expected more. Nothing wrong with having those expectations of course but you have to get the right players in to continue onwards and upwards.

Roberto then came in and did a fine job, playing good football and moulding a fine team which finished 5th with a club record points tally for the EPL of 72.
Of course they were unable to replicate that and finished 11th in the next two years resulting in the sack for the manager.

Sam Allardyce has been our most "successful" manager since then , finishing 8th after dragging the team up from the threat of relegation. His reward was a fond farewell as again the fans thought we should be playing better football.   Had we kept him i doubt the relegation struggles of the next few years would have happened.

Again, be careful what you wish for.....

Mr S, it's not really DM's fault that we have a full back problem, that is down to the recruitment guys. They could not get one in pre season and failed again in the recent window. However at centre back there are four guys who he would really like to play every week !  So he has a headache trying to accommodate them all which is why we have Branthwaite at LB last night. As for Garner at RB, whilst not his number one position he has played there many times before including under the previous manager and of course that was his role in the England u21 team that won the Euros.

Silva, like others in recent times, was certainly not given a fair crack of the whip. Two reasons for that, one is the vocal minority of fans who turn on the manager as soon as we hit a bad run and the second one was a trigger happy Moshiri over reacting to a few bad results.  Koeman was another who had done ok the previous season but was shown the door after a few poor games without being given the chance to turn things round.

DM has been credited by most sensible pundits with stabilising the club and (so far) avoiding the threat of relegation we have endured for a number of years. That is what he does, provides a safe pair of hands. That is down to experience. I am sure he is scratching his head as to why the team underperforms at the new stadium when they are so good away from home (would be nice if you could give him credit for his tactics in that regard ) . Maybe the opposition simply like playing at the HD more than they did at Goodison, as they are like chalk and cheese.

btw, Since DM has been back we have played Silva's Fulham three times - scores on the doors, DM 3 MS 0

The HD is pretty much sold out for the rest of the season so no danger of the fans not turning up.

Only 5 home games left, 3 of them are City, Liverpool and Chelsea so a bit optimistic to expect a turnaround in home form but hope springs eternal.

Missed chances have cost the team a number of points at home this season, you cannot blame DM for the fact his strikers at times couldn't hit a cow's arris with a banjo.
There is some talk of a move for Liam Delap in the summer as he doesn't seem to fit Chelsea very well. We certainly need something different up front that's for sure.
