I think Italy deserve that, they've been the better side. Can't see them getting through another 30 minutes with 9 men, though.

Italy not a bad side, imo. Won't be easy for Germany to beat them. Will have to play a lot better than against England, although it'll be a stronger eleven this time. 2-1 Germany would be my prediction, but Italy are a cohesive unit and won't be brushed aside.

Good call Des!

cheers WD, not quite 2-1, but Italy did play well, shame about the red cards.

Can Italy hold out for pens? Germans don't really look like breaking through, tbh.

great effort by Italy, but you can't afford 2 reds. Thought the ref was a bit hard on them, tbh.

I'm out of the woods now, thanks for asking, after being in quite serious trouble.

I won't elaborate as it's a bit gruesome t.b.h. but I'm in grand form now and enjoying the nice weather. Also I'm booked in for Glorious Goodwood and I absolutely love that meeting.
So back in the game!

Not been watching the CWC because of many reasons but been following this.  The quarter finals were all terrific.  All genuinely close, all had drama and flip flopping faves.  Any of them look realistic winners too, but do agree with the pundits that England are very marginally the best team.  Shame Wharton and Delap aren't playing.  Would've especially liked to see Wharton up close.  Looking forward to the semi finals.

England should win this clearly, if not comfortably. Holland will be exhausted after their exploits against Portugal and they are not that great anyway. England have better, more experienced players. And Holland are prone to picking up cards.

Hutchinson has been England's best player all tournament.

England well on top., just need to avoid making the mistake that Portugal made by being too intricate and trying to walk it in.

Anderson booked, might have to be hooked if he carries on throwing his arm about. That's if he doesn't get sent off first.

Once too often. The 1st one looked a bit iffy (intentional) to me. He needs to knock this "habit" on the head immediately otherwise, England could be 1 player short before the end.

Yep, England started ever so well but Holland grew into it.

Could do with a striker..

England: 1 player with 4 sot - Elliot --> 2 goals.
Netherlands: 3 players; 1 sot each --> 1 goal.

Anderson's had a good 2nd half, tbf.
