Most fans go through the wringer with their teams. The only time I didn't enjoy supporting Arsenal was middle 70s and middle 80s, mostly because the football was awful to watch. The ups and downs of challenging for titles and winning cups is brilliant. Arsenal have won four FA Cups in the last eleven seasons. Finishing 2nd in the PL three times in last 20 years; a bit disappointing they've not quite got over the line. But I'm hoping if Spurs win the Europa Cup, it will spur Arsenal on next season.

I read in the Daily Fail that Havertz and Jesus are among the highest paid Arsenal players. Shocking.

You know that old saying... "you'd have to pay me a fortune to do that"
Same applies to joining Arsenal |

This was the season Arse had to win the league - the 1 in 4/5 that citeh don't look like wining - and ok they got 2nd but apart from the 3 days their fans seemed to think they'd won it as they got to within 3 points (Pool with a couple of games in hand) they weren't really anywhere near. The nonsense of them being set piece masters has been a big distraction all season esp when they aren't that much better than the other teams and they concede so many at corners.
It is very amusing to read all the Arse fans saying how crap/lucky etc Pool are (not all obv) without spotting that that makes them much crapper as, if true, they failed to capitalise on a **** team winning it. Is finishing 8 points (or whatever it will be) behind a Liverpool team no-one expected to challenge really progress on finishing whatever they did behind citeh the previous x years? |

give it a rest your repetitive, tiresome tart, everyone knows Liverpool kept all their best players fit, Arsenal lost their best players for several games during the course of the season and dropped points with it. Kind Regards

Arsenal just couldn't put pressure on, could have unsettled Liverpool.
Arsenal/citeh wore each other down last season. Liverpool eased off when chance was gone saved effort for this season. Didn't appear to have much in tank, but it was already wrapped up. Can see another battle arse v citeh next season |
|

Eze from Palace would be an alternative to Nico Williams. Would cost more but less in wages. Very good player imho but I doubt he is on our radar.
|
|
By:
A genuine, progressive title contender would have seen this was their year and gone for it, partly by making sure injuries don't happen as much as in previous years. I don' t remember even thinking Arsenal would catch liverpool at any stage - does anybody? All down to injuries - laughable.
I presume you're backing Arse heavily next year and laying Liverpool then Mes? You really are the typical Arsenal fan - and I mean that however the reader wants to read it! |

How would you price up arse v liver match bet 25/26
Wouldnt be far off a coin flip imo. |

You're talking absolute juvenile garbage about how we should have made sure injuries don't happen
Odegaard for example had ankle ligament damage after a serious tackle by some Austrian player when playing for Norway - how do you prevent that, have a day off. Kind Regards. |

On the left.
I think Gykores is in the frame. Offer made. Williams wants big wages but I think he is worth it. I think he is on his way too. Zubimendi deal all but done just hope Alonso does not hijack it. Talk about the Bournemouth lad too but that would be too much of a bonus but it would make sense. Depends on the offloads. Could be quite a few on the way out. Havertz and Jesus are also big earners where we could spend wages on better players but are unlikely to move |

Mesmerised... you perfectly encapsulate why Ars*nal supporters are the most ridiculed in world football (although there are a few level-leaded Ars*nal supporters here). Kind regards.
|
|
By:
Nothing Mes has said on this thread is far from the truth. Liverpool avoided injuries, Arsenal didn't simples. although Liverpool deserve credit, they ground out results relentlessly finishing matches very strongly.

that's pretty much it in a nutshell
it's not their fault they kept their best players or fit or that everyone else wasn't at the races it's fair comment to say that nobody really knows if Slot is a top drawer manager til he actually has some competition and pressure. they had it in Europe and PSG were light years ahead in terms of performance, but they are probably the best team in Europe this year anyway I think Liverpool fans think other people are trying to diminish or belittle their success, which is not true at all, they deserve to win the title - because they won it, but sometimes context is needed. Kind Regards. |

Madrid sign Huijsen. Good. Hopefully they don’t want Saliba!

Why would Saliba go to Madrid, it's a step down

Let’s hope yesterday was not a template for Arsenal
Citeh were clueless and Arsenal have looked slow on the ball and playing football by numbers. |

It's a massive summer for City.
I genuinely wonder if they might be done. Managers generally have cycles. Lifespans. Either so long at one place before the players start to get a bit bored and they lose their impact, or more Mourinho-like where their methods simply stop working so well and they don't update to the newer styles. Either way, Pep looks like he's entering that zone to me. Obviously they'll spend over £100 million and have Rodri to come back But the signings of the last 18 months or so haven't been as good as previous City players imo. They look like they're on a downward curve. |
|
By:
They no longer have a monopoly on where the best players go. Even Madrid are looking problematic and toxic. Let’s see if Zubimendi honours his word or gets seduced by Madrid.
I think citeh are going to fall away. They need more than £100 million. They have some good players don’t get me wrong but so do many other teams. |
|
By:
marty.jesus, havertz injuries apparently cost gooners the title.but all will be fit next season ,but arsenal fans want them replacing with 4 x 100 million quid players, because they arnt/weren't Goode enough to win the league, I,d imagine you could go down as far as utd and spuds to think they could be in top 4 with 4 x 100 million quid players brought in, at least gooners have rewritten the rules it used to be every club was 2 big signings away now its 4

C’mon 1Tp
It is quite clear Arsenal need a goal scorer/ centre forward. They also need someone better than Martinelli / Trossard. Nico Williams us. Martinelli is still a good enough squad player rather than Trossard. Send Trossard to Saudi, a good footballer but Arsenal need better. Zubimendi is probably better and younger than Partey, a good buy even though we have Lewis-Skelley. I really like Eze too. If he was free great but will cost too much and Williams is fantastic |

missing the point whispering we've been told 24/7 by gooners if Marty/Jesus/saka weren't injured arsenal would have won the LG, so they,ll all be fit next yr why not prove instead of buying 4 100 mill pound players who you don't no how they,ll perform in the EPL

arsenal set pieces gone from been a snore fest, national embarrassment to a sick joke in 4 months

well said NEVO,the amount of players who improve in the eyes of the fans for 4 months in the sick room is laughable
