As I understand the situation the emails were hacked by a Portugeezer who sold them to some German tabloid newspaper.
UEFA tried to use them when they went after City for a second time. Court Of Arbitration for Sport said they were inadmissable. I would be surprised if any British court did not come to the same conclusion. |

The emails, I have seen them before, represent discussions by various City employees. Mostly how to get extra sponsorship from Emirati companies to comply with FFP.
Some of which may have been acted upon, there is one in which there is a discussion on how to offset the outlay for Paul Pogba's transfer fee! So lets get this right. You think the EPL are going to relegate City on the basis of a slew of hTacked emails, the context of which are undefined, possibly irrelevant some even outright wrong.... This goes to court in the UK with City with an army of top class lawyers what do you think City will be asking for? £100m at the bare minimum for being denied TV revenue from the premier league. You really think thats worth risking? |
