Money go round
By:
Not quite a nobody Honcho, but yes it's a lot of money for a teenager.
Unfortunately it's par for the course in the EPL these days, money thrown round like confetti. Apparently Palace were in for Dibling as well now Eze is finally on his way. Hence EFC upping their bid. |
By:
Ok but he is still just a promising young player.

Agreed Honcho, i wouldn't have paid it but i can say the same about any number of Carlos Kickaball's that i have never heard of who have been signed this summer by various clubs. Once money became the dominant factor in the EPL i lost a lot of interest in it. I will always follow my club whatever but it just isn't the same these days. The characters have mainly gone from the game and it's just not as enjoyable.
The clubs are too greedy, look at the cost of replica kits, it's a scandal. It's £80 for an Everton adult shirt, Liverpool is £85. How can they justify that ? The cheapest shirt in the EPL costs £60 (Wolves and a few others). It's one big rip off. |

Well said Dixie. The game has been hi-jacked and is a caricature of what we were privileged to watch as we grew up.
Jock Stein prophesied in 1966 or 7 that Tv would eventually control the whole game and people couldn’t understand him. How right he was. |

Apparently Sancho deal agreed with Napoli for £15m

Wolves have rejected a £50m bid from Newcastle for Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Wolves’ position is he is not for sale in this window. They believe he is too important and the lack of time left in the window is not enough to find a Premier League-ready replacement. Newcastle are targeting Strand Larsen as the Callum Wilson replacement. (sky sports) |

Saw nick Jackson to bayern too, loan prefered by germans
But... |
By:
What's your view on Larsen ?
he is a bit of a throwback no.9..very physical, good in the air and a decent nose for goal..not the most polished but certainly effective..50m probably fair but everyone knows N'castle are in the market plus lateness of the hour.. |
By:
Funny but true story...
Mrs says I'm thinking of putting strand larson in fantasy football team last season. He's chite says me, and she doesn't put him in, and then he goes on goal scoring run. Love the bloke, ha ha. |
By:
Probably costs £60 million,.. Suits Howe style
and possibly does a good job,... Dunno Deffo prefer Wissa. |
By:
![]() yep, I picked him up in a draft league last season (post draft with very limited options) and did me plenty of favours.. |
By:
could stretch to both or not ?
By:
Can't see how they could buy both without very favourable
payment terms or selling somebody. |
By:
ah, ok..
By:
Brilliant. |
By:
Already bought elanga and thaw and ramsey
That's 125m, but no idea on terms of schedule of payments. Maybe could buy both strikers but got to be pushing limits of psr |

Newcastle United are expected to make an increased offer worth £60m for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Newcastle have already seen two bids rejected, with the latest worth £55m turned down on Tuesday night. No improved offer has gone in yet. (sky sports) |
By:
On joining Celta Vigo it took him five months to score a goal. £55million?
![]() |
By:
scored 14 goals (+4 assists) in a team that finished 16th last year..exceeded his xg comfortably and showed again last night that he's a pretty handy..60m is probably over the odds but everyone knows N'castle are desperate for a striker currently so they will probably have to pay over the odds if they want him..
By:
Yes, but against which teams/ clubs? Is the guy a quality player or a Ted McDougall? I go for the latter.
By:
Chelsea, Citeh, Spurs, Palace, Bournemouth amongst others
By:
Ok, ty. I still feel 55-60m is ridiculous. For him.
By:
Imagine these fees if FFP didn't exist
By:
If ffp did not exist Newcastle would have
Isak, Ekitiké and Sesko... Funny world, would that push fees higher or lower. |

Chelsea and Man United, locked in talks for Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer.
#CFC confirmed their proposal worth £35/40m as total package, waiting for Man United’s green light. The deal will happen, just matter of time… as Garnacho only wants Chelsea. @fab |
By:
I don't think I've even heard of the Strand guy at Wolves. 50-60 million is absolutely ludicrous. No sign of Spurs signing a N0. 10. Thomas the Frank engine being set up to fail by Levy.

By:
He's like the Norwegian Chris Wood
By:
Jacob Strand Larsen got 14 goals in the league last year, is a decent age and very athletic.
In the current market, 60s is fair imho |

If ffp did not exist Newcastle would have
Isak, Ekitiké and Sesko... Give it till Jan and Sesko will be available for £10m lol |
